Rondo/Bynum
Stuck/Singler
Prince/Daye
Max/CV
AD/Ben W.

I'd take a long hard look at that but we are still incredibly weak at PF. That said, we would still have plenty of assets to make additional trades. Get Cousins at the 4 with our left over expirings and I would definitely bite on that. They'd be fun to watch but hard to root for. I can't stand Cousins or Rondo!!

Would do this in a sec. If you're that set at the 1 and 5, it's a lot easier to fill the rest of the roster. Rondo makes everyone better offensively while Drummond covers for everyone else defensively.

I'd love a Rondo/Drummond pairing too, but keep in mind he's going to be 27 in a few months. Not old by any means, but in terms of the pairing, how many years would they have to play together in their primes?

IMO Monroe still has better value than that. Rondo is amazing, but I think it's too early to give up both Knight and Monroe. They're in a bad stretch, but they'll be back.

That trade wouldn't constitute giving up on anything. Rondo has a borderline superstar impact on the game and is a unique talent. I doubt Boston would feel they'd be getting enough.

By the time Drummond hits his prime, Rondo would be losing it. No thanks.

Teams would play an 0-5 zone

But really, Monroe + stuckey for rondo.

Sign josh Smith.

Rondo is gonna be good for a long time. His passing and ball handling aren't going anywhere with age.

Put shooters at positions 2 thru 4, run the pick and roll with Drummond, and spread the floor w/ everyone else. Whatever it takes minus Drummond...get Rondo.

Hell no, why are we getting rid of 2 of our more talented young players, for rondo? everyone gets caught up in this fix sh* quick phase. We have a extremely bright future, we should only trade those 2 if its a amazing player coming back, Rondo isn't that player.

Awful for Detroit, PG is the easiest position to fill, there are so many good PGs in the league.

Bledsoe could very well be better than Rondo one day and he could possibly be gotten for nothing in 2 years after LAC extend Chris Paul and he hit the FA market.

Lowry who is more complete than Rondo and almost as good could probably be had by our pick at the draft day.

Sessions who is solid could probably be had by peanuts since Kemba Walker is playing so well for the Lolcats

I would not give up Monroe for Rondo considering how many young talented PGs are in the league and how few quality young Bigs are in the league.

Disagree completely. There are very few elite set-up guys in this league. I'd much rather fill a position with a guy who's elite at a couple things with his other major deficiencies being on the offensive end than a balanced player with no elite abilities. Rondo is a top end defensive player, top end rebounder for his position, and is top 1 or 2 at setting others up. You can have too many shooters or scorers on the floor at one time but you can never over-kill defense, rebounding, and passing.

Well he said in the thread title Rondo plus. I'd do that trade if Sullinger was coming along too.

I'd definitely take the trade, and I really like Monroe. I don'think the trade would work as it stands, though. The Pistons have to give up more salary.

Pistons trade:
Greg Monroe
Brandon Knight
Jason Maxiell

Celtics trade:
Rajon Rondo
Chris Wilcox
2013 1st

That works in the trade checker.

I don't know why the Celtics would do this rather than just fire sale the talent they have to competitors for people to build around Rondo.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

I like the guy who's posting about not bringing in Rondo because Ramon Sessions could be had cheaper.

I would do it for monroe/stuckey,but iam not ready to give up on knight yet,I feel more confident that we move knight over to sg.

I can't see Knight being a full time 2. I think he can shot yes but if we make the move to him there. He will be another Jason Terry.
