but hes shooting 31% from three?

His stats are not representative of his performance of late. Early on in the season Casey would throw him on for very brief moments. Ross at the time didn't think he would ever get any shots so he would jack up threes whenever he touched the ball. Since we have been winning Ross has actually earned his minutes with defense and playing within the system and is more patient with the ball as he takes more open shots now and less contested ones. When I mean he could be a guy who could participate in the three point contest I really don't mean this year or the year after but later in his career as in 4 - 5 years from now. On the other hand, we all know that he could be a participant for the slam dunk contest this year.
Looking for a new signature. Currently, still evaluating.

Its certainly on the ups. Its taken time for him to adjust but he appears quite confident in his stroke now. In the last 8 games he`s shooting 39% from deep. Small sample size but its a better indication of his ability than his numbers and struggles early on suggest. I suppose haters will hate though.

You could tell he was pressing with his jumper early when he wasn't getting consistent minutes, rushed his release and got to the point where he was "aiming" it. Since he started getting regular minutes he looks far more comfortable with his shot, as well as his overall floor game.

Obviously it looks bad that Drummond went right after, but he shouldn't have been there anyway... I can sort of justify that one in my mind. Ross was my second SG on the board after Beal, so I'm pretty satisfied as a fan. I think he can be an 18/6 type with something approaching elite level defense. Not bad at 8.

Drummond is still very raw but I have to admit he has impressed me a great deal. I have high hopes that he can be a great C in the future.

What exactly were the concerns that made him get drafted so late in the draft? I heard rumors about being a problem child or headcase but it seems like he is the exact opposite. I know he didn't do too well in college but he should have been drafted sooner based on potential alone.

Good grief...in the game before last he shot 1-8 and 0-6 from 3. Stop overhyping him please. If you wanna legitimately hype him up then do it on his defense.

He went 0-6 2 games ago. How is that early on when he was getting limited minutes?

He is extremely inconsistant. Similar to a JR Smith or Nick Young.

When I mean he could be a guy who could participate in the three point contest I really don't mean this year or the year after but later in his career as in 4 - 5 years from now.

That's a possibility if he improves but hardly something we should just blindly be hoping for and acting like it's a sure thing.

You got to wonder how these Raptor fans would be hyping up Drummond if we had picked him. Probably be comparing him to Shaq and Kareem..

He reminds me a lot of Bynum in his 2nd year with LA.

The thing that shocks me most about Drummond is his tremendous impact on defense. As a rookie he is already a game changer on defense and easily the best defensive player on the Pistons.

“It helps everybody,” Bynum said. “He’s down there anchoring the defense. That would help any team out. We haven’t had that here in a long time. For me, it’s great. I can pressure up on guards and if I get beat, I know Dre’s got my back.”

Pistons haven't had a guy like that since Ben Wallace.

Yeah he's become way too annoying, and that's saying something because I've built up my tolerance for annoyance on virtue of posting on the Raptors board.

Head of the snake and all that jazz. Portland needs a second playmaker to make some playoff noise.

I know there are Portland fans pretty excited that the team has the record they do compared to pre-season expectations, but their schedule is about to get pretty tough. Having a rookie lead your team with a terrible bench (they've been a bit better lately though) is going to start showing. Not to mention they don't have a starting center, Hickson has been great but he's not a guy that can protect the rim.

Lillard is going to have some rough games with teams really focusing on him. I remember a game against Chicago in Rose's rookie year. They put a ton of pressure on Rose and it really disrupted what the Bulls were trying to do, I think teams are doing this to Lillard now. The Blazers are so easily disorganized when they trap Lillard or deny him the ball like the Lakers were doing early on. I think it's something they need to work on as a team.

I don't see what is wrong with him being excited about a good rookie player. Not like anyone is forced to watch if they don't want to.

Drummond: 8 points (4-4) 7 rebounds 2 blocks in 19 minutes.

I would like to know why he didn't play 30 minutes.
