Novak, Shumpert, Prigioni for Lowry is about fair value.

Now, before you get all crazy on me, let me just clarify a few things.
I'm not saying Tinsley should be our starting PG...not by any means.
As a backup, however, he is an awesome floor general.
Felton has been an above average guard for us this season, but his poor shooting has killed us on a lot of nights.
I really like Felton. I like how active he is on the floor, and I like his improved defense, however... I've always felt he would make a much better PG if he took 3 or 4 less shots a game, and showed more patience with his selection. Too often I find him wildly driving towards the hoop and chucking up absolute duds in critical situations. There have been quite a few times this year where we have lost by a small margin, and Felton has shot 5 of 20 from the field. That poor shooting has sometimes been the difference.
Now, lets take a look at Tinsley for a second---
You might say to yourself "Why, Mr. SportsFan88, he is shooting just 32% from the field!"
As accurate as this may be, he also takes just 3 to 4 shots per game, with an average of 19 minutes played.
Let's break this down for arguments sakes.
Tinsley averages 5.0 APG currently. He has always been known more for his cutting ability than he has for his jumper. Because of this, teams tend to sag off when he floats around the perimeter. This creates an issue for Utah, who relies mostly on their bigs to put up the points.
On a team like the Knicks, where we have Carmelo, Novak, JR, Kidd and Copeland lurking beyond the arc, it certainly isn't absurd to suggest that Tinsley might average 6 or 7 APG in approximately the same minutes.
When given a decent opportunity this season, Tinsley has posted highs of 14, 11 and 12 assists.
He wont post nearly the same scoring average as Felton, but he also won't miss nearly as many shots.
Again, I'm not suggesting he is a long term fix, but I do believe is an above average, very pass first PG. Kidd can take over for the time being, with Tinsley providing additional veteran help off of the bench.
I can see 4 PPG 6.5 APG in about 18-20 MPG, and he is extremely low risk.
As one of the last players off the Utah bench, he will also come at a real cheap price.
I think we should do it.

The response to my legitimately in-depth post is "Lmao" and "no"?
Any insight on these statements, or are we going to magically acquire some incredible PG like Rondo.
Let's be realistic at least.
