Avery Bradley to debut this week. Expectations this season?

Post#1 » by Levity » Mon Dec 31, 2012 6:52 pm

It looks like Avery Bradley will be making his season debut this wednesday for the celtics. and though doc said bradley will be in the starting line up, what are some realistic expectations for him this sesaon, seeing that hes part of the celtics new guard heavy rotation

before the playoffs started last season, bradley was putting up some great to amazing numbers. Is that a thought of the past now that jason terry, barbosa and lee are all a part of the celts? Or do you guys think after he continues to get healthy he can continue to be a valuable fantasy asset?

No he wasn't. He was barely serviceable: 33 minutes, 15 points and a hair above a steal and 3 per game on highly unsustainable percentages. Not fantasy friendly at all. Unlikely he'll be viable in 12-team leagues or anything shallower.

The situation reminds me of Roddy Beaubois a few years ago. Impressive stats in a short cup of coffee, but in the end a bit player. Bradley will play better than that IRL because of his defense, but nothing to see here in fantasy.

He'd to say, it's possible that he gets better but he hasn't had a training camp and he will not be in NBA game shape in awhile

Plus he is still playing in a crowded backcourt

He is a borderline pickup at this point
