This team's n

REBOUNDING. Who the hell is Vujecic? Vujechic? How the hell does he get 29 rebounds when the whole team has 33...And get this...Bosh had 4! Every damn game the opposing team destroys the heat in the paint and on the boards. It might have to do with them coasting but it needs to be addressed. What say you? Happy New Years btw And here's to an awesome 2013 and another title

In Bosh's defense Bosh does almost everything possible on an NBA floor during a game regardless of what it means his numbers will show. He defends every single pick and roll even if it means running out to half court and sprinting back to the paint. He helps on every help defense play trusting in his teammates to cover his back. He sets some of the best picks in the league. With all that aside he still finished 10/15 for 22 tonight and is top 10 in the league in fg%. Vuvejic just stood in the paint all game.

Many boards were not directly being outrebounded if you understand his roll he requires help on his help defense that he gives and when it comes in late it leaves the 5 spot open for a board. Not to mention the rebounds that were probably got while he wasn't on the floor due to the fact he played 38 mins to Vucevic's 46 mins? That is nearly an entire quarter.)

Effort. We were a better rebounding team last year with much the same team.

Oh well. Still winning.

I've come to the realization last year that you can't expect Bosh to do everything that he does, and then contain the other center by cleaning up the glass.

It has a lot to do with where he's positioned. Making a guy running out defending the pick and roll near the free throw line, running back and then boxing out their center who is bigger and stronger than him? Bosh sometimes is the only big in the paint when Spo goes small, and he's up against opposing powerforwards (as big as him) AND their center?

Centers will always be stronger and more physical than him and will win the rebounding game. Making Bosh park himself under the basket isn't the best use of his talents.

It's no surprise that Miami defense improves with Joel Anthony on the floor. Joel knows defense.

Not the same team.

Joel Anthony's minutes were 22 a game last year and he was regularly starting, this year it's down to 10 and he comes off the bench.

Spo is experimenting a lot with different kind of small ball. He is using these 82 regular season games to prepare strategy for the playoffs. He knows he can go back to slowing the game down by starting Joel.

Don't worry guys. Spo is doing his job by continuing to try and improve / tweak / experiment with the team.

I said it before and i'll probably say a 100 times more until Spo adjust - Bosh isn't a great rebounder beacuse of his playing style and physical tools. That's just a fact. you can cry about it, u can blaim him for not trying, whatever. he's a mediocre rebounder and always will be, that doesn't mean his not a good player overall - he's a good defender and a great offensive player. He needs a big physical rebounder to play next to him and to compliment his skillset. Haslem and Battier ARE NOT the long term answer. (Battier might work against a few teams but not the big one and not on a regular basis).

And BTW it's not just the rebounding, unless we play Joel next to him - our rim protection is bad also.

My kingdom for a big shotblocker/rebounder/paint finisher.

You just contradicted your self. His playstyle is why he doesn't put up big board numbers. He is far from a mediocre rebounder. He has to play a certain style to benefit his team. If he wanted he could grab 10+ boards a game easy and has MULTIPLE 10-11 rpg seasons. That is not something a "mediocre/bad" rebounder can do. If he is considered mediocre then half the league can grab 10 boards a game if they wanted going by your theory. No bad rebounder has multiple 20+ rebound games in their career and an 18 /16 rebound games in the last few weeks.

It's not his job to grab boards. Period.

Cole and Rio to put up shots. Its better than them turning the ball over trying pass. I think it clean up on some on defensive end, and stop so many empty possession. Maybe, by doing this it get the other pg in foul trouble having play defense on the heat pg for once.
