No. Just no. CV and Daye are inconsistent as hell. Bynum is Jekyll and Hyde. Stuckey is... well he's Stuckey. Drummond is great off the bench but he'll be starting in a month or two. The bench looks greatish right now because Daye and CV are making almost everything from 3. That won't last. If they were always this good from the outside they never would have been out of the rotation. I'm enjoying that they are playing well now but they are on borrowed time and that great shooting will eventually come crashing down back to reality.

Daye and CV are not outstanding shooters they are streak shooters. They are as likely to shoot you out of a game as they are to shoot you into one. This level of shooting won't last. It never has with these two and it never will. Over their careers they have stretches where they shoot an absurdly high percentage form outside the arc and it is soon followed by a much longer stretch where they can't hit anything. And when they aren't hitting anything they are huge liabilities on defense. If we bring both of them back in the off-season it will be a huge, huge mistake.

Drummond played magnificent defense on Cousins.

It's called reality, dip ****. By all means enjoy CV and Daye shooting 60% from 3 (I am). But counting on it to continue is foolish.

Fun game.

A. There was a moment in the first half when Cousins was knocked down by Greg Monroe. Rather than get up and defend, he spent it holding his arms up looking for a charge. Monroe scored.

B. CV shouldn't have been ejected. Why did Thomas get off scot free?

C. Brandon Knight was quietly good.

D. I want other teams to feel like they're picking between a shot to the foot or a blow to the head when going up against Monroe and Drummond.

E. I think Daye could have a decent career in the NBA. Problem for him was his shot wasn't going in for ages.

F. It's nice to have the schedule be so friendly to us for once. But I think all those games was because of the trip to London in a couple of weeks.

The facts are that CV and Daye have been consistently playing very well lately.

They'll continue to consistently play well until they start consistently playing poorly. But don't worry, they'll eventually start consistently playing well again in the future before another consistently poor stretch. I can predict this can happen because they've been consistently doing this in their careers.

i love the way our second unit is basically a poor mans ny knicks team, and its a great way to get quick points while our starters take a breather. dre is playing a similar role to tyson chandler and then we have shooters at every position, its working really well right now, fun to watch. its the sort of thing that can take you in or out of games though, which is why its a unit you can stick with over the course of the season, hoping they help you in more than they hurt you. have to wonder though if it would still have the same effect if drummond was in the SL and someone else playing C in the second unit.
i am starting to be really optimistic about our chances to keep this hot streak going though and have a chance to give this extremely young team a run in the playoffs. i know its just a couple of wins but you cant not be optimistic especially when stuckey has missed a few games, monroe is not playing as well as we know he can, and knight has been hit and miss, and drummond still playing bench minutes. theres plenty of upside if the starters can start winning themselves games and not getting these 40 point bench savings.

Daye hasn't just been hitting his shots. His defense and rebounding have been good too. People seem to under-rate him defensively and I'm not sure why.

Yeah his defense hasn't been too bad and he does give us another good rebounder on the floor.

I really like having that extra 6-11 guy out there in addition to the 2 main bigs. Daye's a very good rebounder for a perimeter player. I also like his length around the basket. He's a sneaky blocker/contester. Guys go up thinking they have an easy lay-up and he alters their shots.
