That is pretty good too

You're going to get ripped apart for that offer. There's only maybe 4 or so players Piston fans would be willing to trade Drummond for right now and LMA isn't one of them.

As has been discussed on the Trade Board, Aldridge just doesn't make any sense for the Pistons. They don't need a vet in his prime right now. They just need to keep the young guys they've got and let them grow together.

Not only that but Dre and Monroe are perfect compliments to each other and Dre is a defensive anchor. It's safe to say he isn't going anywhere. All we need is a good SG and our young players to continue to develop and we will be back in business.

The one thing the Pistons need more than anything right now is a coach that doesn't have his head shoved firmly up his own b-hole. Seriously, there's not one good reason that Drummond isn't starting and averaging at least 30 a night right now. The Pistons aren't a playoff team, they need to be solely focusing on development right now. Knight, Drummond and Monroe should be playing together as much as possible to start developing the best cohesion they can. Will they lose games? Sure. Does it matter? Nope. In fact, losing games is great, imagine if they can get a high enough pick for Shabazz?!

Knight
Shabazz
Singler
Monroe
Drummond

In 2 or so years, that's a SICK roster.

For the record, when Drummond's been given extended minutes, there have been times where he's asked to sit down because he's tired.

Do I want to see Drummond play more? Like many Pistons fans do, yes. Keep in mind that he's 19, he'll get his time.

That's still no excuse for at least not starting him and letting him and Monroe get comfortable playing together.

That's also kind of strange that he's asking to be taken out because he's tired..... He needs to be working through that. Like you said, he's young, so there's time, but still....

There have been a couple of times where Terrence Ross looked completely winded too after just five minutes of playing time. Guess it's just a rookie thing.

ROY doesn't take team success into consideration so i assume yes.

The way A Davis has been playing, I'm liking his chances of overtaking everyone else.

Yep, this 95% of rookies do not have the stamina to player 35+ minutes at a high level and continue to look good. 20 minutes is a good thing for Drummond at this point in his career. Heck 30 games is the most basketball some of these players have played in an entire season. And we're talking 15 minute halves, AND 35 second shot clocks.
Pretty neat and on the fridge for the real fans:

To clarify, the only times Drummond asks to come out because he's tired are when Frank plays him 12-14 min straight. 90% of the players in the league need a rest after 12 straight min, esp big men who weigh near 300lbs and run the court every fastbreak.

I can only remember one time where Drummond asked out and it was because he was playing a very long stretch. He would have no problem averaging 36min a game. Right now he only plays 2 big chunks of minutes per game.

I totally agree with you about Drummond's minutes. Frank has greatly annoyed me by playing guys like Maxiell and Villanueva over him. However, I really like the way our defense and offense looks and if he can get his horrible rotation mistakes out of the way he can be a pretty good coach. Not playing Dre has probably cost us a few wins too, especially early on when we couldn't grab a rebound to save our lives. Once Drummond steps into the starting lineup and we get an upgrade over Singler that will help us a lot. It's hard to win games when Maxiell and Singler are in your starting lineup. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be bad enough to get Shabazz either though. We will have tons of cap space in the offseason so right now I'm hoping for Mayo as our best opportunity to fill our SG needs.

Knight
Mayo
Prince
Monroe
Drummond

That is a very well-balanced playoff team imo. It reminds me of GSW when they have Bogut back.

I remember watching that one live. Couldn't believe Lillard was able to twist his body around all those defenders and still lay it in like that.

For all the people saying Davis is definitely going to overtake Lillard for the ROY award, I'd say that's premature to the max. While it's true that team record generally isn't considered that much for ROY, it can become a factor if both the rookies are having equally impressive stats. Basically, don't make any calls about it soon. I've been guilty of that myself. In the end, I expect it will be being a tight race as long as Davis stays healthy the rest of the way.

Frank only playing Drummond about 20 minutes. Typical Frank.

Seriously, Frank is a freaking idiot keeping Drummond at this arbitrary 20 minute per game mark.

Another big game from DLill tonight with yet another huge late game shot to seal the win against the Knick in the MSG.

Slowly i think Piston fans are agreeing with Frank on AD's minutes, we will need him for the entire season and its a long season. As long as Drummonds getting 20-25+ minutes and its for long stretches i think we'll be happy. i'd also prefer to see him in the game at the end of games than maxiell.

Lastly frank is an idiot, but he's been winning lately so he gets a pass for today

Not so sure on this. There are a few Pistons fans who agree with Frank, but that still seems to be a distinct minority. I for one still think his handling of the situation is moronic. There isn't anything to indicate that he's not ready for 30 minutes a game. In fact, his per-minute production has been better in games when he's gotten extended minutes.

It's better for Drummond this way. Let him get used to the minutes and continue developing at a monitored pace. It feels better to unload seed after a long session as opposed to rushing it. There's no need to put unnecessary strain on him.
