Would have lost by 20 if not for the incredibly fluky completions that set up the TDs. Ridiculous that Phillips was on the field over Stave, especially in the 2nd half.

I love Barry, and I feel bad that he fell to 3-1. But, his decision to go with Phillips and stick with him is a major reason why we lost.

I can understand starting Phillips and giving him a shot, even though I disagree with it. But I can't fathom how Stave only throws one pass. To add to how mind blowing that is, the one pass is the best pass thrown by any QB in the entire game.

Yep. Give him the start? Okay. But once he looked like ****, you have to take him out.

David Shaw annoys me. Looks like a dick, he should choke on one.

Now we have to listen to the big ten hate from a bunch of knuckle dragging hicks for another year. As well as the wine drunk dorks out West.

Re: 2013 Rose Bowl Gamethread
I should have been posting here throughout the game. I cannot believe they didn't go to Stave. Phillips had at least a third of his passes tipped and didn't throw 2 good passes on the day. Just no excuse to allow Stanford to play run on every play when you have a guy who can pass.
It almost felt like they are dumping Stave for Houston after this year and elected not to put him in despite a clear need to do so.

I am physically ill from all of the anxiety. Seriously. It's a good thing I didn't actually go again this year. I could not handle that bus ride back to the hotel for three straight years. I would have had a heart attack.
I know I don't post here re: the Badgers much, so I'll let known that I am a big Stave fan and have been a day one supporter. So you can gather from that my thoughts on that game
I can't do this again next year. GA better be **** ready.
Okay, I'm done. Onto next season. I like the squad quite a bit. I'll be interested to see how much 3-4 they run on defense. I think Gordon will win the starting RB job.

Between the number 10 on his jersey, the ugly herky jerky throwing motion, and staring down receivers, Phillips reminded me of former Badgers QB Mike Samuel. Maybe that's why Barry foolishly refused to put Stave in during the 4th quarter, at the very least.

Re: 2013 Rose Bowl Gamethread
Stave definitely should have played more. Barry probably didn't want to bench Phillips since he was one of the players who asked Barry to coach, but Stave needed to play more. His pass hit Abbredaris in the hands in the end zone. I also didn't like the wildcat on 4th and goal from half yard line and would have gone for it on one of the other 4th and 1s.

Re: 2013 Rose Bowl Gamethread
Wow, just saw on JS a blog by Potrykus about Abbrederis declaring for the draft. He said it was bogus and Abbrederis released a statement that he was coming back for his senior season. This kind of caught me off guard because for some reason I thought Abbrederis was a senior this year.
