no worries Dragic. I thought you were one of those bitter "Warriors are dirty rotten tankers" guys, but you aren't.

anyway, here's the latest for GSW in the various nba power rankings:

Yahoo Sports: #6
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--nba-p ... 22344.html

ESPN: #5
http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings

NBA.com: #6
http://www.nba.com/2012/news/powerranki ... index.html

ProBasketballTalk: #5
http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/ ... top-spots/

USAToday: #7
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/nba/rankings/

This will probably be as high as they get all year, as I expect the next 3+ weeks to be tougher for GS.

Don't forget the Sonics.

Regarding the Biedrins comments earlier, it's mental. His decline is mental. I can't think of anything like it except for Nick Anderson.

Dan Gadzuric. Sure he wasn't that good but he had a great little run before he got paid then totally lost all confidence in every part of his game.

I think realistically, both Denver and the Lakers probably leapfrog the Warriors later on in the season and the Warriors end up with a low Playoff seed. I'd still be happy with that, though. As long as the Warriors make the Playoffs.

With that said, the spoiled fan in me really wants the Warriors to catch up to the Clippers. If the Warriors beat LAC tomorrow, I'll probably end up rooting for the Lakers for the first time in my life just to see them beat the Clippers and put Golden State closer to catching up in the West/Pacific standings.

I was kinda rooting for the Clippers to win tonight against Denver, though. the Warriors/Clippers game tomorrow would have been much more entertaining if Golden State had the opportunity to be the team to end the Clippers long win streak.

I don't see Denver passing GS. They might, they are good, but not clearly better IMO. But the Lakers should. They have so much talent it's crazy.

Are you considering their ridiculously hard first-half schedule with that assessment?
But I sort of agree. They have talent all across the board, but I still feel like each of their players can give more.

What is scary about this team is that if Bogut can come back to form this team will be over the top. Before bogut's injury in his arm a few years back I thought he was the 2nd best center in the league.

I still remember watching this on tv it was such a horrible incident

:( did you have to post that video ?

All good. Will be interesting to see how Bogues fits in once he is back. Specially when their closing games.

GSW is solid real solid, still think their a first round out regardless of seeding just due to age and style of play as well as inexperience (unless bogut comes back and meshes well). But I see them as a 50 win team with real potential to make noise next year

Sorry I just wanted to put it into perspective what kind of injury the guy had to deal with and why he may no longer be able to be 2nd best center in the league. Though i truly hope he gets back into form because he was a pleasure to watch.

As hot as the Clips have been...beating them by plenty may be GSW's best game this year.

Oh for sure I agree. He'll still be able to bring it defensively but his days of being a go to go on offense are behind him.

It's not only how much points they won by that was nice, but also the fact that they held Blake Griffin to 2-11 shooting. I don't even think Blake got a dunk in that game. The Warriors defense has been great this season even without their best defenders in Brandon Rush and Andrew Bogut.

Stephen Curry scoring 25 points on Chris Paul in the first half on such a high percentage was nice to see as well.

Curry has a strong case for 2nd best PG in the league this season, no joke. He's a monster.

He's not a great passer, though. Usually in the end of games, the Warriors let Jarret Jack handle the ball while Curry slides to SG and Klay slides to SF.

Which is the only thing holding him back from being the conversation with Paul imo. He's a good passer, but like you said, not great. But his shooting stroke is unreal, and puts so much pressure on a defense. Literally, you have to put a man right up on him as soon as he crosses half court.

His handle is nice, his shooting is amazing, he's got solid court vision and passing ability, he's a surprisingly good rebounder...only real "weakness" is his defense, which has gotten a lot better.

Curry's defense is above average for PGs already. It's not a weakness. That doesn't mean there aren't bad matchups for him... Westbrook is one.

Golden State are like every low seed's teams ideal first round matchup.
