So you expect a 12 game losing streak on a home heavy schedule?
Everyone underrated Kobe's ego and just thought he would be Paul Pierce when Garnett and Allen joined, instead he went Black Mamba and turned Dwight into Kwame and Nash into Smush.

He's not a great passer, though. Usually in the end of games, the Warriors let Jarret Jack handle the ball while Curry slides to SG and Klay slides to SF.
Which is the only thing holding him back from being the conversation with Paul imo. He's a good passer, but like you said, not great. But his shooting stroke is unreal, and puts so much pressure on a defense. Literally, you have to put a man right up on him as soon as he crosses half court.
His handle is nice, his shooting is amazing, he's got solid court vision and passing ability, he's a surprisingly good rebounder...only real "weakness" is his defense, which has gotten a lot better.
Yeah, Curry has always been a great player, he's just unfortunately been held back with injuries (especially last season when he missed 40 out of 66 games).
I remember his rookie year he was tied with LeBron and Wade for most 30/10 games in the season, but what was surprising about it was that Curry got all his 30/10 games in just the 2nd half of the season when he finally got to touch the ball more. He also got a triple double his rookie year, too. He's a shooter, but has the skills to be a scorer as well.
The potential has always been there, he just had to be healthy in order to really fully showcase and develop what he's capable of.
His defense is surprisingly pretty good, too. It's gotten better. I think people assume that Curry isn't good at defense because he's a shooter and isn't athletic.

He was being sarcastic. Earlier in the thread someone said the Warriors will eventually fall off and go back to .500.
The Warriors have the 2nd hardest schedule in the NBA in their first 12 games this month. It'll be tough, but so far they beat the Clippers by 21 at home, then they face LAC another 2 times, Miami, OKC, Memphis, San Antonio, etc.
Golden State has potential to have a mediocre (or maybe worse) month in January, but later on in the season they'll have a much easier schedule. Also, with Bogut coming back they'll be a much better team. Better than starting a rookie center in Festus Ezeli.

That will work in the Warriors' favor. Lower teams might underestimate them just because they're the Warriors. Hopefully Golden State takes advantage of that and catches teams by surprise whether they're a low or high seed this season.
A lot of good shooters, great offense on the perimeter and inside the paint, deep bench filled with starter quality players, Top 10 rebounding and defensive team in the league, etc.

Fun fact - at this point in time GSW is 0.002 win percentage away from being low seed itself

It's strange, if the Warriors end up with a top 4 seed, they're probably the team that the lower seeds want to see in the first round...but if the Warriors end up with a bottom 4 seed, they're probably the team that the higher seeds don't want to see in the first round.
They're dangerous this year, especially if Bogut comes back and can be a productive defensive presence inside.

I think their chances (if any) of being top 4 seed will be clear at January 23:
Their January opening:
vs Clippers
at Clippers
vs Memphis
vs Portland
@ Denver
vs Miami
@ SAS
vs NOH
vs LAC
vs OKC
anything above 0.500 and they are LEGIT

I think there was a thread a couple weeks ago where people were apologizing to him. Lol.
Gotta give credit to Michael Malone, too, though. Jackson is a good player coach, but Malone is most likely the guy handling a lot of the X's and O's and taking pressure off of Jackson as an inexperienced coach.

David Lee
On MVP chants:
"God is good, that's what was going through my head. We've come a long way this season and I thought this was a game where a lot of people were looking to see what we were made of. We've got these guys again on Saturday, they're a very good basketball team, we were just a little bit better tonight."
On his performance:
"It's not about me. I have confidence that I'm the best power forward in the league or up there and playing against a great player like Blake (Griffin) is just another challenge for me. I have confidence and my teammates gave me confidence to just play aggressive and keep playing aggressive throughout the whole game. I had a slower first half - they trapped me a lot - and in the second half I had a lot of opportunities and tried to make the most of them."

I agree he's easily a top 3 PF this year.

Re: GSW at 20-10?
I don't think David Lee really meant to say he's the best power forward in the league, that's why he quickly said "or up there" right after. Lol. Something I noticed during that interview. He doesn't want to seem like he's jocking himself too much, which is good.
I do notice that he's been playing with a lot more confidence as the season progresses, though. You can really see it in that win vs the Clippers. David Lee has always been a vocal guy, but he's recently started to play like the game is so easy for him. He laughs more during games whereas back then he would always have a serious face on.

WCW (White Chris Webber): Name given to him by Shaq. Should be an all star this year hands down. If he doesn't make it, it would be criminal.
Draymond Green: Exemplifies Warrior Leadership, Hustle, Desire, Versatility, Toughness, fearlessness, Grit, Heart,Team Spirit, Sacrifice

Love continues to stink so that opens a spot. Right now only Duncan and maybe Randolph have a chance to get in over him.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.
