Clipperpocalypse

Post#1 » by KyletheDingbat » Thu Jan 3, 2013 6:02 am

Cheer me up guys. I know it's just two losses in a row, but things look bad. Bledsoe doesn't look good. I think he was good until the league took notice, now everyone knows how to stop him. Blake Griffin looks like he's completely lost his confidence. Jamal Crawford has entered the "in" part of his "inconsistent" label. Odom is wasting time out there. We don't have energy. Are we really a good team? Or can I expect us to play .500 ball from here on out? I want to believe!

Come on now.

Some of our guys are banged up. Both of Odom's feet are messed up. One is an ankle sprain and then there's a strain on the other. Bledsoe has been awful since he had that hard landing. He mentioned not having his usual explosion. A couple others (e.g. Crawford, Turiaf, etc.) have little nagging things going on as well.

Crawford sucks on the road period. If you back over the past 13 games prior to tonight, you'll see that the majority of his bad performances came away from Staples.

4/14 vs Toronto
2/12 (1/4 from 3) @ Charlotte
2/6 @ Milwaukee
7/17 (1/5 from 3) @ Detroit
3/11 (0/4 from 3) @ Utah
2/11 (0/5 from 3) @ Denver

Blake has been decent outside of the last 3 games. My main beef with him has been his lack of rebounding.

This team learns more from their losses than their wins. With CP3 at the head I'm not worried that they'll figure it out.

Denver was a crappy game, GS just out hustled us & shot the lights out. We have to become more of a rebounding team and start penetrating when teams slow us down to a half court game. We missed Caron last night, we just need to get aggressive to the hoop again. Concerned, not worried.

all about paint touches for me...which could be chris...which could be jamal....which could be lamar...which could be barnes cutting.

we have the personnel to handle the zone better than we did last season...it really bugged us last year in the regular season i thought.

however, i feel we enter into offense too late and don't give ourselves more than one crack at it...if our 1st option doesn't work...we're screwed and forcing something up....or the ball will die in chris or griff's hands.

i want decisiveness...i want quickness...i want us to be sharp....and i want to dictate to these zones/ paint clogging sets...not vice versa.

I'd like to see Blake take it to the hole more. He is taking the jump shot way too much. I know his FT shooting is still below average, but getting the other team in foul trouble can be huge! In the Denver game, it looked like the short handed Nuggets would be using every bit of their bench due to foul trouble, but I didn't see us trying to get McGee to pick up a costly foul. Guys were so afraid of getting their shot blocked that they were running away from him. I was not worried at all about the Denver game, I had circled it a week earlier as the game we would lose for all the normal Denver reasons (altitude) but losing to the Warriors was costly. We have to sweep them the rest of the season or we will lose the tie breaker!

zone is so the defense can control the paint.... cutting and all that would lead to turn overs, especially clogging the passing lanes.

they need to do a high-post set and we need to hit the 3ball... no 3 ball = zone is doing it's job. Zone D is our weakness, we need to have a good CONSISTANT elbow shooting 4man for the pick and roll, BG needs to hit those like pau gasol does.

we really dont have much of offense. most of our offense is of steals and defense. when we cant play d. we get owned cause we dont have fast break chance

exaaactly. what kills us most is if our defense is down and other team is playing zone D... hence... GSW lol
