Currently in 2nd place, should be strengthened when Dirk comes back soon/ if Rose does come back. Have shopped Ellis because he is killing my FG%, but never-the-less my team isn't strong in that category. Is Paul redundant with this team?

Thanks in advance!

You're overachieving a bit, or your league isn't particularly competitive. Got a lot of holes in that roster. Ellis/Nelson/your bigs are problems. Paul is the guy keeping your team competitive. Ellis doesn't trade well and hasn't for years; eveyone knows he's a FG% killer.

Just traded Ellis for Monroe. Good or bad trade?

I was gonna say, zomg your PGs, but Paul/LBJ is broken. The rest of your team suuuucks. You have Pau, LBJ, AK (who is unlikely to repeat his November stats the rest of the year) and Lopez. The rest is flotsam.

Deron for LA in a quick second.

Lol @ Jason Terry. Amare's worthless.

Your team's pretty good though. Only a few holes. If you can trade Deron for LA you're fine.

As long as you make the playoffs you're fine. Evans and 3s are your problem. Trade Iggy cuz you have assists on lock. You need 3s 3s 3s. Iggy for Klay straight up.

Thanks!! You are correct, threes are an issue; I sometimes win 3s by a small margin. Should I try to move Evans as well? I traded monta for Evans earlier because he was killing my fg % and turnovers.

It's my first time playing Fantasy, and I think I made a few terrible decisions during the draft (drafted Manu instead of Parker when I had the choice), but have been able to improve my team with FAs in an apathetic league to climb to 5th after starting last in the first 3 weeks.

Yahoo H2H 10-category 10 teams

James harden
Josh Smith
Steve Nash
Anderson Varejao
Brook Lopez
Danilo Gallinari
George Hill
Amar'e Stoudemire
Nene Hilario
Manu Ginobili
Larry Sanders
Jeremy Lin
Jamal Crawford

I was thinking of dropping Nene for Kawhi Leonard? and Perhaps Jamal Crawford for Jarrett Jack?

The problem is that I'm not quite sure what I need. In the same categories, I get crushed on some weeks, and destroy players on other weeks. Any advice would be much appreciated!

You gotta let Evans get healthy first.

Ellis for Monta = lateral move. Both fantasy cancers. I'd slightly prefer Ellis, since there's more structure in MIL than SAC.

Crawford won't trade? Everyone overrates PPG.

Nene's starting to ball. Kawhi for Amare. Why in the world do you still have Amare?

Your team's a contender. You weren't kidding when you said your league's apathetic. Nash will help a lot, but you could use a better 2nd PG than Hill. You also don't have any obvious trade packages. That's the bigger problem.

If you can't pull off a decent 2-for-1, just start streaming Crawford's spots, Nene's spots. If there's that much talent on the wire, why not? In the meantime keep working a 2-for-1. Even a slight upgrade -- like two top 50 players for one top 35-40 player -- is a win since there's so much talent on the wire.

Thanks!

I picked up Amare about two weeks ago when I heard that he might be back for christmas. Reports confirm that he's probably going to suit up on the first game of the new year, sometime next week at the very least.

Why do you think I should drop Amare and not Nene? I feel like Amare will do everything Nene does but better? more rebounds/points/blocks/higher FT%~

The FA pool is actually not that deep~ I think the only viable players available are Jarrett Jack, Matt Barnes, Kawhi Leonard, Kyle Korver, Shawn Marion, Derrick Rose, Danny Granger, Andrew Bynum, and Glen Davis (out).

I think Amare's days of being fantasy relevant are done. Maybe I'm wrong, though; his #s last year were better than I thought. He's obviously in decline, though, is coming off injury, and the Knicks no longer run -- they're t-22nd in pace compared to 5th last season.

And he's coming off the bench. Remains to be seen how many minutes he gets. Maybe 28 per game?

Nene's put up 14/7 with great percentages in just 23 minutes in December. His minutes should gradually come up to around 30 per game. He's always been able to contribute in a low amount of minutes, too -- for his career he averages 29 per.

In the end I suppose they're about the same. I just think Nene has more upside.

You need to pick Leonard up asap. He's posting t40 value, man. He's better than half your team.

Rate/Help me improve my team.

Yahoo league, 10 teams, 10 cats (Fg%, Ft%, 3pt%, Pts, Rebs, Ass, Stls, Blks, TO, PF), H2H scoring.

Note* The Commish made it so ONLY the playoffs count for our scoring, so I am trying to build a team for then (don't care about how it does now)

Lillard
D Rose (inj)
Lawson
K-Mart
Gay
Gallinari
David West
Cousins
Amare
B Lopez
R Lopez
Chandler

I want to wait a bit on Amare before I do anything with him. I still have faith he can come back strong, but maybe not and then ill move him. I probably need another shooting guard - Ginobili is on waivers and he is looking good lately.

Players I can cut = Martin, Rolo, Chandler, Amare, West, B Lopez

WW = Manu, Dudley, Nene, Granger, Henderson.

Lawson is being a huge scrub so far and I have tried to trade him a bunch and no dice, i guess i have to hope he improves.

How can I improve this team?

You don't have any elite players, so honestly you're probably screwed.

You need to work some 2-for-1s. Even if the 1 you're getting is only slightly better it's worth it. One t40 player is > than two t45 players in your league because obviously no one's active and the WW is full of talent.

Drop Amare for Manu. That's pretty obvious.

Where do you get your player rankings from? I currently use ziguana.com since it syncs my league and gives me ranks.

It says K-Mart is 12th, B Lopez 23rd, R Lopez 24th, D west is 35th, Chandler is 42nd, and it gets a bit **** from there on. But Cousins is starting to come on, I think he can be top 40 for sure. Lillard will only improve. I don't have a Durant or Kobe, but most of the teams in my league that have 1 or 2 of those guys are weak elsewhere. If lawson starts to get anywhere close to last years stats I will be competitive I think

I missed the PFs.

Lol @ Cousins being remotely close to t40 in a league that counts fouls. BBM has him ranked 137th.

Martin is 27th, Lopez 22nd, his brother 35th, Lillard 48th, Gallo 51st, West 63rd, Chandler 76th. Go to Basketball Monster put in your league settings and see for yourself.

Your team's solid but you're still lacking any player who is a 2nd round talent or better. That's hard to overcome.

And Amare fouls a lot so he sucks in this format.

Apathy what are your thoughts on a straight up trade of (my) Josh Smith for his Kobe? Roto 8 cats (no TO)

Rondo
Vasquez
Afflalo
Marcus Thornton
Wes Matthews
DeMar DeRozan
Josh Smith
Al Jefferson
Vucevic
Pekovic
Hibbert
Koufos

The I am big time in blocks and rebounds and dead last in 3s...FT% and points could be better too. The guy offered me the trade and I'm really really close to clicking yes. Take it and run? I just came to get a second opinion.

Edit: are concerns about Kobe's FG% sinking unfounded with the return of Nash? Or does he lose his value because of Nash?

What kind of (Please Use More Appropriate Word) in your league would trade Kobe for Smith, I wish these kind of idiots were in my league. Trade a top 5 player for Josh Smith lmao.
