If we slip 15-21 or even 16-20....We miss the playoffs IMO
Unless we get on a terrific W streak that is more than unlikely the way we're playing

By the way, how am I " suspended" yet not?

You know, maybe I would've let fish coach the team in 11-12...

Honestly though, I would've kept Phil, if he wanted it, and made his contract performance based, say 7 mil base, extra mill for every round passed, and the full 12 if he wins the the chip.

Not that it matters, but Phil considering his relationship with Jeannie and his success here, must've seriously pissed in Jim's cornflakes something terrible behind the scenes.

Ill post this again, I really see some similarities to Jim/ Jerry buss and Walter/ Peter omalley...in that while the old men in each case were passionate titans of their sports and luminary genius's... There respective sons inherited a game where any mistake is magnified and any decision less than great results in tremendous downside. And neither of thevsons were business men nor sports men, they were inheritors of great fortune.

It scares me, what Jim might do( and maybe he'll learn, and become great) when the old man passes away and he really is the final say.

And that thought even more so than recent history of treatment of longtime staff, and coaching decisions, etc, scares me about the future of my lakers, and it's why I am do hard on him...because I know he is the future of the org.

[quote="AcecardZ"

I'm glad somebody else sees what I see. CP3 is very good but he couldn't carry Magic's jock on his best day. Magic could shoot and pass over him all day and night long..

Like Shaq and Wilt Magic created some of the biggest mismatches in basketball history at his position.

I'm pissed we lost and I'm getting drunk so if the quality of my posts continue to decline please forgive me!

New goal!! Whatever seed it takes to draw the Slippers in the first round!!![/quote]
Whenever I hear peeps drone on about how great cp3 is, I think of John Stockton, and how silly he would make cp3 look head to head...

Magic is a whole other level, IMHO, no one could carry magics jock , even Jordan, but that's a whole other conversation...

Hahaha that's what I'm sayin'...

For the "basketball fan" that he claims to be, he seems to have such passionate hatred towards these "Fakers", whoever they are. Trying to be all cute with that GG bull lol GTFO. Must be his closet Laker fan within forcing him to watch Laker games

not the time to talk about Jim Buss, kobeaki. he made huge financial moves to get us Howard/Nash.

It's not jim's fault. I really really doubt this team would work under phil on the short term (and this is a short term team). We could have hired someone else other than D'Antoni, sure... But... It's not the coaches fault either.

So it's not mitch's fault either.

So? It's on the players, first on Kobe, second on D12 and then the rest of the players. It's THEIR FAULT.

The Players:
I have no problem with Kobe or Nash this season. Neither has been perfect, but I think they've done their parts basically. MWP too up till last game...
I'm not sure about Dwight... I know he's not physically 100% but mentally I'm not sure he's into what we're trying to do. It's like he's on a whirlwind party tour... I think he's focused a little on the name on the back of the jersey. There doesn't seem to be a lot of intensity there... Maybe that's just not him.
Morris is a 3rd string PG... He shouldn't be getting this many minutes.
Meeks is a 6th man... He shouldn't be getting this many minutes either.
Pau has had maybe a handful of solid games. I think he looked much better in the Princeton and with Bernie's offense... But he's been pretty bad the last few games.
Jamison is a sixth man... If the starting 5 could get us going, he might be nice off the bench, but to ask him to do more than fill the bucket is a fools errand.
Hill is a bench player... He's too inconsistent and prone to mental lapses to be a starting PF.
Ebanks is raw... He could be a part of a bench squad... But the lineups have been messed with so much, nobody understands their roles.

The FO:
All the things listed above.
Plus the Mike Brown was never the right choice.
Mike D'Antoni is better but still not ideal...
If you're going for a championship, cheaping out on the coach is not the best idea.
Dwight and Kobe are our best players... Any time you have that situation, a fast paced, transition offense, is not the best system for your personnel.

We're pretty broken. I don't think there's one single quick fix that solves all our problems, but if we could trade anyone not named Kobe Nash or Dwight and get athletic starting 3 AND 4, I think we'd be in much better shape.

I couldn't disagree more, it's absolutely his fault for choosing a coach who style, is not compatible with the short term win now roster...

That is absolutely on management...

For the first time all season I've had to say I'm really starting to wonder if we'll even make the playoffs. .................just sad! Nevertheless I'll still suit up for every game like we're the #1 seed.
