What do you guys think of this trade?

Toronto gets a low post scorer and a slasher/defensive sf
Utah free's up time for Favors to start and gets a solid big man in Gasol who goes back to his normal position C and can post up
Lakers get younger and "energy" with Milsap and a young wing in Fields
Washington get's a shooter and young talent in Bargnani while shedding Ariza's contract from their cap.

Tor In: Jefferson, Ariza
Tor Out: Bargnani, Fields, Calderon

PG: Lowry
SG: Derozan
SF: Ariza
PF: E. Davis
C: A. Jefferson

Utah In: Gasol, Calderon
Utah Out: Milsap, Jefferson

Pg: Williams/Calderon
Sg: Hayward
Sf:M. Williams
Pf: Favors/Williams
C: Gasol/Kanter

LAL In: Milsap, L. Fields
LAL out: Gasol

Nash/Blake/Morris

Kobe/MWP

Basketball Jones post about D-League options...

http://blogs.thescore.com/tbj/2013/01/0 ... ideration/

Of course seeing Goudelock's averages makes me question the legitimacy of looking at stats alone for the d-league.

If we could somehow turn Pau into Millsap and Landry Fields I'd probably cream myself...

(Unless of course there's a respectable doctor somewhere saying we just need to give Pau a little more time and he'll be fine. I don't think such a doctor exists though.)

I like how you're thinking. Aminu at the 4 gives the Lakers the infusion of youth, athleticism, and energy they desperately need.

this is deperation idea I stole from those guys forums so dont flame me lol

Pau/Ebanks/Sacre
for
Lee/Terry/picks

Green to Tor
Bargani to LA

Lee/Terry are the types to fit in Antoni O, gives us more depth and Barg can be the stretch 4. Yes I know he sucks but like a typical dreamer I could only hope he plays better with better talent around him, the same way Ariza and Shannon Brown worked out for us.

Still don't understand why we completely ignore Defense with our trade suggestions when that is the main issue we have.

bargs can't be a stretch 4, with two big reasons among many others.

1. he's not even a great shooter

2. he can't defend 4's.

If improved defense is what everyones hoping for, would something like this be likely

pau to minny (we all remember the desired trade the wolves wanted back in december. not entirely sure it would still be on the table at this point, though

pek, dwill to atl (gives them a LEGIT starting center to play next to horford, allowing him to play his natural position at the 4. dwill hopefully becomes of use to them at whatever position they decide to put him at)

josh smith to la. (great defender, who doesnt look like molasses out there. also, can be as incentive for dwight to stick around. still dont know how atl feels about trading smith at this point)

this is a good idea but I dont see Atl doing that simply because they're winning and Smith hasn't indicated he wants out. Honestly the D sucks cause of the effort no the players, the bulls are an elite D with just as bad of a PF and slow as malasses undersized boozer at the 4 as well. This team has no scheme to defend penetration and PnR, IMO even switching Pau out for Smith, we will still get beat consistently on PnR because our perimiter players will still be liabilities as none of them seem to know what to do after they get picked.

Not to mention Pek has out played Pau last season and this season, why would the Wolves downgrade at center plus add an additional asset? Not going to happen.

I like it for everyone, only team that might shoot it down is Utah. Actually, utah probably shoots it down. :(

Nice proposal though, pretty well rounded.

As a nets fan Id be interested. I'd acquire him and rest him until after the all-star break

We don't need humphries, brooks, and teletovic anyway
