Hello!
My team is (10-team, 9-cat roto):
PG: Paul, Curry, Conley
SG/SF: Pierce, Dudley, Leonard, Barnes
PF/C: Love, Horford, Hibbert, Anderson, Marc & Pau
There are three players on waivers who are supposed to come back in upcoming weeks: Derrick Rose, John Wall & Danny Granger. Should I take any of them? If so, who would you drop?
I'm particularly interested in John Wall. I don't want to own him for a longer period of time (his turnovers are horrible), but I like his trade value.
Thanks in advance.

Re: FA's coming back from injuries
Hey I'm no expert but this would be my advance.
In roto. There is a set amount of games you can play per position so you only want to accumulates states with your best players. Always think long term, "if I can only get 82 games played at pg, don't I want as many of those as possible to be used by Chris Paul?"
I'm sure there are players on your team that have say on the bench for most of the season due to poor production. I would guess these would be Hibbert. Pau Dudley, Barnes.
So I would think to my self, who if they come back would be better than a current starter I have? I would answer that with granger and rose. And even possibly wall.
But f you pick up all 3 you will have no depth if one of your starters gets hurt.
I would pick up rose for Barnes. And granger for Dudley.
Idk that's my logic.

I don't see any any of those players coming back in the next few weeks personally

Re: FA's coming back from injuries
It's a tough risk-vs-reward assessment. Depends on a lot of stuff; I'd need more information to feel comfortable making an assessment. What place you're in, how many games you've used, what cats you can make the biggest jumps in / the ones you're pretty safe in, the activity of your league... all a bunch of stuff you're more privy to than I.
Your team is conceivably good enough to drop, say, Dudley/Barnes/Hibbert, wait on those three to return and make a push for first / pull off some sick trades. But it's very risky, and your team is so good that even if it all worked out you would get, what, maybe 15 spots of value per player? That could be significant, but that's also a low-probability best-case scenario.
As far as performance upon return, my gut tells me Rose is the safest. Granger and Wall feel like toss-ups. I'm not sure at all. I would wait for more information, depending on how active your league is.

I have a 7 game lead in 1st place, should I pick up Granger now since he'll be back for the playoffs?

im pretty positive that despite what reports say, granger wont be back this month. so if you dont mind giving up a spot for him for a month until he returns, and a month and a half til hes actuallyproductive again, then by all means pick him up. Rose will probably be back at the same time, but he can dramatically bring down your percentages. wall will probably be back at the end of the month. who knows what to expect from him, but he does have the ability to absolutely fill out a stat line

Re: FA's coming back from injuries
As of yesterday, my team's in the 3rd place with 64 points total.
FG 3, FT 7, 3PM 7, REB 8, AST 10, STL 10, BLK 7, TO 7, PTS 5. With Paul/Conley/Leonard my steals are secured, but blocks heavily depend on Hibbert. I feel that %s should grow eventually, but there are too many chuckers in my team (Love, Hibbert, Pau, Horford from charity stripe).
I played 343 games out of 820, those who are higher played ~30 more.

Wall could be back anytime now. He's already practicing and latest reports say he could be back in 1-2 weeks.

Wall shouldn't have been on anyone's WW. The other two I'm going to bet won't return til after the all-star break. Until we get some more information leave them alone this month. Granger's sounds more likely to ease back into the game before the break but I don't see a reason to rush either back.

I still don't know who should I drop in that case. Leonard, Dudley or Barnes? They're all solid.

Then does it really matter? You know what stats you need better than we do...
