Race to the MVP pt. III

Post#1 » by ReturnofMVP3 » Sun Jan 6, 2013 12:00 pm

Other thread over 100 pages which I am pretty sure means we have to make a new thread to continue discussing.

Anyways, CP3 has been an amazing player this year in terms of being able to get the ball to the players, scoring when needed, great defender, all around great leader. Top it off with the Clippers wins and he should have it in the bag. Yeah his scoring isn't like the other guys on a nightly bases but he makes up for it by making his teammates better.

I don't even like the clippers and I'm a heat fan but it's CP3's this year.

I hope that laugh implicates he shouldn't be there

I think CP3 is ahead of KD and I'd even give him the slight edge on LeBron this year too. I think Tim Duncan should be there before Kobe.

Kobe's efficient numbers would be better if he and his team played defense.

I think it's ridiculous to put all the blame on Kobe when he's having such a great season, regardless of his poor defense.

Let's get real though, Kobe isn't even a top 5 MVP candidate... Teams wins matter quite a lot.

He could start by playing defense himself.

Yea in no universe should Kobe be ranked higher than Melo who is doing better statistically and having much more team success.

For now I have.

1) Lebron
2) KD
3) CP3
4) Melo

If the Clippers have a higher seeding than the Thunder CP3 switches places with KD.

1. Durant
2. Lebron
3. Cp3
4. Carmelo

In a close race, it goes to the one with a better record. Durant has the best record in the NBA.

Melo is def no higher than 4.
You can make a good argument for any of the 3 at number 1 but right now I'd go with Chris Paul based on record, play and storyline.

CP3 or Durant will be 1st and 3rd depends on who is the #1 seed. If the Clippers or Thunder are the top seed one of them get the MVP while Lebron is 2nd and the other of the three is 3rd.
