Playoff: Redskins vs. Seahawks

VS.

Post Season Throwdown: Clash of the rookie elite!

What can you say but RGIII vs RW3 might really come down to how the Seahawks travel and if their defense looks like it's self or the shell shocked road weary gypsy travelers they looked like on the road early in the year.

Injury update:

Image

Seahawks-

CB Walter Thurmond (hamstring) out

Redskins

QB RGIII is a little gimpy

Things to Watch:

1. Media Scrutiny on the QB position vs what goes down
Might one of these guys get one last drive to make a point? or 7?

2. Return of Browner
Let's hope he picks up where he left off

3. RB swagger
Both teams have had a nice rushing game lately, as always the playoffs tend to be about time of possession and turnovers which mean the running game will be key.

4. X factors
Leon Washinton? A Sherman INT ? Bad penalties aka the zebras? we shall see.

Predictions-
Seattle 24 Washington 21

I have no idea what to expect in this game. If any game in the playoffs was a coin flip, it'd be this one.

I think it's pretty cool that the Seahawks are favored, despite being a road team in the playoffs. The difference between the two teams' defenses is pretty staggering, but the Seahawks' defense certainly hasn't faced anyone like RGIII before. Is he healthy? Can he run on us?

Bobby Wagner and Malcolm Smith are two speedy LBs and they're going to be extremely busy on Sunday.

I'd really like to take the Redskins down...they've always been [and will always remained] one of my most despised pro sports franchises.

I'm so happy the Redskins sent the Cowgirls packing. I can't wait for the rookie showdown. I think the Hawks win this game because quite simply, top to bottom, they are the better team even if they are on the road.

whatever happens tomorrow it's nice to to know that it's merely the beginning of something, not the end.

The Redskins running game is gashing us. I an not sure I am a fan of putting Leroy Hill out there over Malcolm Smith, as I like Smith's speed better. The 'Skins are also going right at Browner on passing plays.

Wow, TD Redskins. That was about as ineffective as our defense has looked all season long. Not having a pass rush is very frustrating.

Another TD on the exact same play. I can't even point to what, exactly, the problem is on defense. They're just getting beat all the way around. The defensive line is getting pushed around, they're running at will, and the 'Skins are 4-4 on third downs. Down 14-0 and we're not even out of the first quarter yet.

Apparently they've decided to target Chancellor. On both TD passes he was just standing there covering nobody.

Ugh. This looks like it's going to be a LONG night for the Hawks. They're looking outclassed to start this game.

A big pick by Earl Thomas! Holy smokes, we could maybe come out of the half with the lead...

Ugh. Seattle is demonstrating that they are more capable of moving the ball, but they just can't get ahead.

lot of wasted opportunities with good field position, now we need to drive 80 yards.
