kids go to coach cal because he prepares them for the next level. he has a dribble drive offense with lots of pick n rolls and he defends man to man with weak side rotations. that's why his guys are ready from the jump when they move to the nba. also, he'll never try to hold a kid back when he can get drafted in the 1st round.

he doesn't prepare his players any more than other coaches. there are coaches who are FAR better than him when it comes to teaching the game. a lot of his player leave just as raw as they were when they came in. as a teacher, i'd put him way down on the totem pole among well-known college coaches.

if kids were concerned about improving as much they possibly could in one yr they'd go elsewhere. if they want the hype and exposure, an easier transition to college ball and no impediment to get to the next level then they play for cal.

You forgot the part where the tutor takes all of his tests and he gets to bang her and her friends. At the same time of course!

I'm not saying Coach Calipari can't coach because he can, but the dude is dirty. Look at UMASS when Camby was there. Memphis when Rose was there. It's just a matter of time before his paper trail catches up with him. And it will.

And the NCAA will get so mad at Kentucky that they will put Fresno State on probation.
