Bustmack is what the Pistons (fans) call him.

He handed their boy Drummond his a$$ though ;)

drummond had a pedestrian game in terms of rebounding and scoring but he did get a couple blocks and some highlight plays. I'd be satisfied with drummond's game

I'd probably give them their pick back as well.

I wouldn't go that far. That pick is quite valuable, and imagine how terrible it would be if drummond didn't get much better, they used that pick to get a top 5 player, and biyombo became what we all know he could be? Too much value even though they'd want the pick

I was really hoping the Bobcats would develop him the way OKC has developed Ibaka (i.e. midrange game), but it looks like he's made absolutely zero progress in that department, unfortunately. At this point, I'm hoping for Ben Wallace 2.0.

still plenty of time.

They had to spend the first 12 months teaching him positioning and how to catch the ball. They really are building him from the ground up.

His rebounding has improved, there is still time for shooting.

Much too soon for the midrange imo, Ibaka got that down pat his third year.

Its gonna take baby steps with Biyombo but 5/7/1.5 in 23 minutes is very solid for him at this stage, if he ends up at 7/7/1.8 then he's basically where year four Deandre Jordan was.

Season after next is when we should see Biyombo break out.

You really think that Bismack is two seasons away? He's looked good, and I think that we don't really have an ETA for him. Inconsistency plagues him. I love the guy, but I just don't know when to expect him to breakout. All I know is that he had a quiet game and still managed 17 boards.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

About two seasons away from being the player that I think he can be which is consistently averaging a double double with 2.5 blocks per game. But yeah, inconsistency is his issue. He will be fine in due time.

Biz is 20. Serge is 23. Biz is averaging 5 pts 7 boards and 1.5 blocks. When Serge was 20 he averaged 6 pts. 5 boards and 1.3 blocks. I think that we can still cut Biz a little bit of slack.

I think Ben Wallace with better finishing ability was always the best case scenario. Biz could go through his entire career never averaging double figures, and no one should be shocked. On the other hand, he proclaimed he would lead the league in rebounds and blocks one day. I'm much more concerned with how he progresses as an on-ball defender and rebounder than as a scorer.
Humble yourself.

We're talking about a kid that struggled to score against a chair in predraft workouts. Biz would dominate that chair now, so he has improved more than you give him credit for.

I think one of the major problems with perceiving his improvement is that we marginalize him so often on offense we don't have the chance to see his improvement.
