It's been pretty silent in here about it. Probably because we all like to deny it, but Varejao has been out with a decently serious injury. I believe it is more than just the bone bruise but even if only that, this feeds into his injury prone status even more.

I have been on the fence about trading him and see both sides. The fact is, we are awful with or without him. TT plays much better without him so the drop off is not quite as steep as we would expect. Andy is one more injury away from losing nearly all worthwhile trade value. He's great value with his contract when he produces like this, but his rebounds are definitely inflated probably 3-4 a game being on our team.

In two years we have a chance to be pretty solid again if all goes well, but will Andy even want to stay in Cleveland after that? Will he be able to avoid injury? His intangibles are among the best in the league but this latest injury, while seeing zeller and TT perform slightly better has finally persuaded me it would be a major mistake to not trade Andy.

I know it's been discussed time and time again, but I would really like to hear a strong counter argument against trading him at this point.

What would it take to land Rudy Gay? Trade Memphis Gee, Boobie, and picks or Waiters or TT?

From what I have read, Memphis isn't looking to dump salary which doesn't match up well with the Cavs for players available and what Memphis would be looking for. Right now, Rudy Gay is a borderline All-star who gets paid like a Superstar. While he is very athletic, Rudy Gay is a inefficient shooter. I am not sure that Rudy Gay is worth using the Cavs cap space and basically ending the Cavs rebuild from what Memphis is looking for in return.

Rudy Gay 2012-13 = 16,460,538 2013-14 = 17,888,931 2014-15 = 19,317,325

I don't see us drafting a superstar or even an All Star this year. At some point we're going to need to do something. We have a legit superstar so we are far above the Hawks of the world

Not a trade, but the wiretap says Indy may be waiving Sam Young. I liked the guy coming out of college and think the Cavs should definitely give him a look.

Isn't Sam Young already 45 years old?

We should sign Oden for 3 years. We have the money. It's totally worth doing.

2013 unprotected and filler for paul goerge? I really don't see anyone better that we can draft at #4 in this draft. Thoughts?

I'm not saying that either Indiana or Cleveland would do it. Just give me your opinion on flipping this year's pick for George.

There is no way we pass on such a deal unless we feel someone like Muhammad or Porter will give us the same production in a couple of years. With that being said, there is no way such a deal happens. Indiana wants to keep George for the same reason why we want to trade for George, and then there is the fact that we are in the same division. I am sure the Pacers would love to face Irving/Waiters/George/Thompson year after year.

we don't do that trade because it's draft lottery.

Last year 3rd worst seed won.
Year before that, 8th worst seed won.
2010 - 5th
2009 - 3rd
2008 - 9th
2007 - 7th
2006 - 5th
2005 - 6th
2004 - worst... finally... last time the worst team won the lottery...

Boston takes a gamble on Varejao, hoping he comes back by playoffs or end of regular season.

Bass, signed through 14/15 season
Melo, on the books for 4 years
2013 first rounder

Is the offer,do you accept?
