Our bench blows and we hired 2 retards in a row, one that didn't know the meaning of offense and the other doesn't know the meaning of defense. Good fukn job management. Either moves are made or we become the laughing stock (which we already are) of the nba.

You need some Zoloft. Or Prozac. Or Ativan. Pick one, and make it quick.

Last second.

Nash has been our biggest problem especially on defense, dude can't play a lick of defense.People wonder why Dwight always yell at Nash he lets the pg in the paint to easily and forces D12 to lose his man and set up the easy basket.

Yeah Nash has made our offense better but his defense is god awful.Imagine when we have to go up against CP3/Westbrook/Parker in the playoffs he will get eaten alive.I think we made a mistake giving him a 3yr deal,he's only going to get slower on defense.

Nash is not the biggest issue. We haven't had good defense from our PG spot in years and we've still been able to manage. I will say that both Nash and Kobe need to do a better job of getting back in transition though, and generally speaking our FC players need to focus less on offensive rebounds and just get back on defense after we put up a shot. At a minimum we should have 3 players sprinting back as soon as we put up a shot: Nash, Kobe, and Metta. Preferably our PF also is running back. Seriously, watch these guys. They'll put up a shot and just ball watch until someone gets a rebound, and that's when they start running back. It's no wonder we can never stop the ball in transition.

The above would solve some of our transition woes, but if we want to improve defensively as a unit then Pau has got to be moved to the bench. I would much rather have Metta or Hill defending the 4, and if Kobe is going to start at the 3 then WTF haven't we gone out and picked up West? Meeks defense is unbelievably bad so he can't start, and Morris is entirely too inconsistent on both ends. Screw he's mental issues, just get him on the team to see how he can help us. Raja Bell is another guy we need to look into. He's not the most athletic player, but seriously, he's a much better defender than Meeks and far more consistent shooter.

Right...

Nash isn't the problem on Defense but he's not a lock down defender on D either... The problem is we have Nash, who can play some solid D in the half court but isn't terrific in transition because of his age, Kobe who plays basically no D for 3 quarters and tries to turn it on in the 4th, and MWP who is good in the half court against slower players, or Meeks who doesn't play much D... That's our perimeter team... Not a good formula, unless they are all committed to playing team D and practice it constantly.

I think we need at least one defensive specialist in the starting lineup on the perimeter... I think if we got a true small forward with young legs, who could start and play lock down D for 4 quarters, it would help a lot. This would allow us to have MWP come in against bigger SF's off the bench.

And if we got a more athletic PF, we could be in good shape. As good as Hill is, he's still too inconsistent to be a starter...

But if they don't emphasize it in practice and try to get these guys all thinking the same way, it won't matter much.

There's no defensive communication out there unless a play breaks down. And then it's just pointing fingers.

The problem I see with our team (other than the defensive deficiencies) is that we're shooting way too many jump shots. How many times this game did we see Nash run pnr with Dwight, get trapped on the baseline, and kick it to a shooter only to have them clank the shot? Not surprisingly these lead to fast break opportunities for the other team. It's extremely difficult to outscore another team when the vast majority of our points are coming from jumpers while the other they're just doing layup drills every trip down the floor. It's especially hard if we're turning the ball over 15+ times a game on top of that. I'm not saying we shouldn't be shooting open jumpers but when they aren't falling we desperately need to get things going towards the basket.

It seems like the only people on our team who can consistently get dribble penetration are Kobe and Nash. We also lost our best off the ball cutter in Matt Barnes. I was hoping Ebanks and Jamison could fill that role that Matt did so well but Ebanks just sucks and Jamison has been delegated to being a 3 point shooter. I think if we're going to add players to improve our offense it should be players who make our offense more dynamic not just "more 3 point shooters".

It's not a surprise that many players aren't motivated to play defense, given that the captain, Kobe, barely tries on that end.
