If Sacre gets waived too, we got a ball-game...

This is probably just about signing a vet while all our bigs are injured.

Well he wasn't going to play and now they have some roster flexibility.

Kmart please, rather have a defensive oriented vet than an offensive one like Jamison.

Problem is most of them don't have much potential for real growth an development. Anytime the Lakers get a draft pick they trade it in order to reload the team with a trade. So the Lakers just hover around the top because of top talent stars. Other teams around the league hit bottom to build up through the draft.

We aren't in a development phase, either. Ever since the Gasol deal went through, the franchise has been in win mode.

No time for second round patience when we have stars on the court and the city of LA behind them expecting results.

So his $ 473,604 was going to really put a crimp in the Laker pockets huh ?

Should have never drafted him in the first place with Goudelock on the roster at the time.

Celtics waived Varnado and Joseph yesterday

Wonder if these moves are meant to cut the unguaranteed trash before the deadline or to make room on the rosters for that supposed LAL/SAC/BOS trade

The future is now. In 2 years. Kobe might retire and Pau might be gone. Then what we have. No first round picks to 2019 and a few second rounders. Need to keep the first to at lease try to build a bench. Well to late for that now. There will be a time when all these trades backfires and it looks like 2014. D12. I see him not here next summer. Going to be a fun ride to Feb 21.
