Det/Phoenix Trade

Post#1 » by freddy » Mon Jan 7, 2013 10:32 pm

Not a major move but could help both teams.

Detroit Trades: Jonas Jerebko
Phoenix Trades: Wesley Johnson

Detroit takes a chance on Johnson, former #4 pick actually becoming something. Could play SG or SF. Might thrive in a different envoironment and complement this team a little bit better. Also an expiring contract so we could get a look at him and see if we want to keep him around next year. Pretty much out of the rotation in Phoenix or at least playing limited minutes.

Phoenix takes on Jonas who has talent but doesn't quite fit in with the current Detroit team. Should fit in well with the current group in Phoenix and is on a reasonable contract.

Hows his defence and hustle, jonas might not be great at spreding the floor but I think hes good at defense and hustling and a good energy guy off the bench and he isnt terrible when his shoot is falling.

You say that now but wait till you see Jerebko when he comes back. He'll have the same fire he had his rookie season. I still love him and I wouldn't trade him for a prospect since he's a sure role player. Once Daye and CV get traded or leave somehow, he'll be back on the rotation with Bynum and Drummond.

Speaking of Charlie V. I went to the Bahamas this break and met a girl there. We started greeting each other and she asked where I was from. I said Detroit. She asked if I knew who he was. Apparently she has a child with him and that he beat her before. So basically he's as much of an ***hole off court as he is on court. She gave me her email, number, and instagram. :dontknow:

I hope your right. I kind of miss watching the rookie Jonas that didn't take jumpers and lay out on the perimieter. The guy that hustled non stop and earned every minute he got and played solid D.

I'd trade JJ for a bag of chips. It's not that he's not a good player or that he doesn't hustle. It's that he is not great at anything. He's a guy who just tries hard. I like JJ but I make this trade in a NY minute!!

wes got a change of scenery and still plays like ****. hes not good. he shouldnt have been pick 4. id rather hold onto JJ and if we want wes at seasons end offer him a two year deal for cheap and see if he would come, then roll the die that way.

Wes gives you cap space nothing more. he would be CV31 of the Suns if he was twice as talented and worked twice as hard.

The Suns would value Wes Johnson's expiring value far more than acquiring yet another below average, soft, power forward.
