Skiles?

Post#1 » by Goochmeister » Tue Jan 8, 2013 6:05 am

So apparently Scott Skiles and the Bucks have parted ways. Any body think that he'd be a good fit as a defensive minded assistant and would it even be possible to get him? I would personally love it the guy preaches hard work and defense which is exactly what this team severely lacks. I know Mike's bro is suppose to be the "defensive assistant" but he obviously isn't cutting it. Thoughts?

Skiles is Chucky 2.0, him and Mike don't mix.

Can he preach defense? How about for an assistant coach?

I don't see D'Antoni as the guy to ask for help by letting in other coaches that could possibly threaten his position.

Coaching is not the issue with this team. When will everybody start understanding that? :nonono:

Then what is? Because from I have read and seen most former players and analyst think it is an issue.

Skiles could potentially be solid a defensive specialist, but I imagine someone will give him another shot someplace.

How is it not? We are playing stupid small ball and is non-existent on defense, features that are symbolic to MDA's career coaching style

Naw they have no history. I don't think Skiles sees himself as an assistant, he did that already. I doubt he's trying to step backwards.

There is no way that Skiles becomes anything other than a head coach. Skiles would have been a better choice than Mike but so were others. Mike can coach well but he has always coached the same system and that requires players very unlike the Lakers. Usually lakers management finds a way to succeed, but they screwed up waiting to fire Brown and then hiring the absolute wrong person. I guess even great organizations screw up sometimes.
