The joke here is that all of a sudden people who have probably never even have a fight in their lives feel threatened by the world that they need to have a semi in their hand just in case.
The good ol US lower middle class being delusional since 1776.
So I take it youre one of those guys who never prepare for the "just in case" moment for anything then? Youre willing to admit that if someone looks to get inside of your home you deserve to die because you are unable to defend yourself. all those things I mentioned are REAL issues that people from time to time have to deal with. Just because youve never had to deal with any doesnt mean they arent real pal. God forbid if you ever had to personally deal with any of that yourself or it be one of your family members you may very well be singing a different tune.
I would much rather be prepared for something that will likely never happen than to need to protect myself and be unprepared.
You know what else is real? Being hit by a car. Being in a car accident and dying. Getting hit by a train after someone pushes you on the rails. Airplanes crashing.
So if I really want to be safe and make sure nothing happens I should never drive, fly or be near train tracks. right? Because that is basicallywhat you are saying IF something bad could happen I should have a contingency.
Hmm what else could happen?
My roof could cave in. Maybe I have a house without a roof.
Again here is yours side argument in a nutshell. Something MIGHT HAPPEN so i need a gun.
Lets say you are 30 . That means you have been alive 365*30 = 10950 days. Let say you have been mugged at gun point 30 times which would be on the high end.
30/1095= .0027 so extrapulating there is a .2 percent chance of you getting mugged again in the next 30 years.
Lol. But of course you need that gun because that .2 percent man. Thats rough.
