Re: The Trade Thread
I don't think Lopez is worth trading for, and can't see the Pelicans trading him.
I would offer Sacramento Hakim Warrick for Chuck Hayes and a heavily protected 1st and see if they go for it. Team about to be sold saves money, gets rid of a role player. Charlotte adds a hustle guy to their bench at a fairly decent pay rate.

Re: The Trade Thread
We don't even play Jeff Adrien enough to warrant trading for Chuck Hayes and based on this season's stats Adrien might even be better than Hayes.

Re: The Trade Thread
Was going to argue your point, but then I looked at Jeffs numbers. Why aren't the Bobcats playing him more? The Hayes trade was more about the pick and just adding a guy like Hayes, but I always forget that Adrien is on the roster.

Re: The Trade Thread
As weird and premature as it may sound I think that Adrien should be starting for us at PF or C to make us more competitive. I don't think we have any excuse for not playing him more than that we're "developing" players.

Maybe Jeff is so good that if we played him he would single handedly derail the rebuild.

Maybe. I think he would add at least probably 3-5 more wins which might be the difference between drafting #1 and #4. That might be what Cho is afraid of. All this developing players talk is just a cute way to say that we're tanking.
Definitely tanking this year, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see us mega tank next year for Wiggins, Parker, or Randle.

Might as well. Any guard we pick in this upcoming draft won't change the fact that we're the worst defense and any center that we draft in this upcoming draft won't change the fact that our halfcourt offense is poor.

The draft no, but JJ Hickson or Paul Millsap would go along way towards solving those problems.

Milsap could help our halfcourt offense a lot but Hickson isn't much of a scorer so only marginally. Neither are anything above average defenders but at least they aren't stiffs.

Nets fan here... just trying to get a read on what you guys would say for something like Humprhies for Ben Gordon? They have similar contracts and I think the Nets are in need of a bench scorer (don't like Brooks that much). Thoughts?

Hump would probably help sink our tank to an even lower standard and give our roster some balance but I think we'll hold onto BG for something better, like a 1st rounder or serviceable under-25 year old players from a contender looking for bench scoring. BG could easily score 20 points per game for us but we're not in the winning business right now. We're "developing" players

We would need something to sweeten the deal. Gordon has a bloated contract but he's a good 6th man and will be a valuable expiring next year.

You say you don't like Brooks much. I'd be down for Brooks+Hump for Gordon.

I don't think the Nets are sending Humphries anywhere this season. I know he was a target of Cho's, and is probably still appealing, but he is overpaid compared to the $ we would want to spend on him at this point. I'd also gladly bring Brooks here as part of that deal. Now, let's talk about a Gordon & Tyrus trade for Kris, Brooks and filler. I am all over that!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

That'd be tough to do. Their filler isn't paid much. Easiest would be Gordon & Tyrus for Hump and Crash. But I don't see that happening. Gordon & Tyrus for Hump, Brooks, Blatche, and Teletovich might work if Brooklyn throws in their trade exceptions but I don't know why Brooklyn would do these deals at all.

^ Rebuild would be over at that point. Kemba, Hendo, MKG, and Crash with Ramon coming off the bench? How could we possibly miss the playoffs? I don't see us making a trade like that before the 13/14 season is over. I fully expect cho to hit something that block buster once Wiggins, Jabari, or Randle is a Bobcat or to make one of them one.

If he doesn't resign we could do a sign and trade on draft day for young players or draft picks!!!!!
