I would actually put this game under a moral Victory.. I know that's loser talk, but the rebounding and defense was very good this game. Unfortunately, Both Bron and Wade had off nights.. and they made clutch shots.. Spo made a bunch of mistakes..
Hopefully we don't have ugly nights like these anymore..
I'll also highlight one thing.. Having battier down the stretch would've helped a lot.

@ricochet
you have a point, but thats the main problem. We can never put a complete game.Always something missin
1 day its rebounding, the next day its people lighting us up from 3 points line, the next day is we cant beat teams outside the paint, the next day its carless turnovers..
Its starting to worry me, all teams are doubling lebron..and they want our other players to beat them then lebron. This is why ray allen, mario chalmers should start hitting their shots.

Not making excuses for Bosh's rebounding, he has to start grabbing more, but he's averaging a career high in blocks. He's usually one to just play position D and have his hands straight up as oppose to actually jumping and contesting. Him going for blocks might be a reason he's out of position for rebounds. Again, it's no excuse. But I haven't seen him contest shots like this since... his rookie year.

Oh pleaase Chalmers stfu. Maybe Spo should play JJ more in situations like that, you know someone who has said countless times his job is to remain ready whenever his name is called. Someone needs to light a fire under Chalmers ass cause his 2 points a game aint cuttin it.

Wade had a bad game, and LBJ missed some shots. But the real issue with this team is that we're playing 3 Vs 5 on most nights.
Mario is the worst staring PG in the league while Haslem is the Worst Center (Or PF, whatever he's suposed to be, he's the worst). it's not rocket science, it's hard playing 3 Vs 5.
Both of them are below average defenders, and Just look at their season stats.. they are completely miserable:
Per 36 minutes :
Mario Chalmers : 9.6 points 39% FG, 34% 3's, 4.8 asiste, 2.8 turnovers
Haslem : 6.6 points, 46% FG, 2.0 offensive rebounds, 7.5 defensive rebounds, 0.3 blocks, 1.4 turnovers, 4.2 fouls
THESE ARE PER36 MINUTES NUMBERS.
You simply can't find these kind of awfulness on other playoffs teams. or even on non playoffs team. they're almost Joel-like on offense, but dont bring anything on the defense side either.
If you know your way around numbers, you can see just how amazing it is that these players are STARTING on a contending team, and getting 20+ minutes per game.
3 Vs 5 Folks. it's going to be hard if we dont change that.

Rio kinda ruined his own game by getting foul trouble early, but I honestly didn't understand putting Rio in there at the end. I know it's probably because he was the warmest guy Spo can rely on in that situation, but I'd personally have gone with Miller in that situation. I know Rio is unafraid of the big shot, and can hit some big shots, but he's been shooting poorly lately. PEACE.

Re: Heat @ Portland, Thursday 10:30pm ET
Positives from this game were that we held Lillard in check.
Also Bosh and Ray Allen were aggressive. If you noticed our effort was noticeable when it was only Bosh and the bench players on the floor. Our production seemed to tank with Rio Wade Lebron on the floor. Why are we having such a hard time generating offense. Are people falling in love with the jump shot.
One issue is poor ball movement when Rio Wade and Lebron is on the floor.

Re: Heat @ Portland, Thursday 10:30pm ET
sigh...Heat were up big. I told my friend they should let the Blazers catch up or go to OT so Lebron can continue his streak....doh!

Re: Heat @ Portland, Thursday 10:30pm ET
D-Wade and LeBron cool off and our offense goes down the toilet. Nothing new year. Having Allen in there was a tough call. On one hand, we needed his offense badly, on the other hand we either had to put him on Lillard or Matthews. Wade on Lillard was the logical choice because Lillard is more explosive than Matthews, so it was mainly a pick your poison situation with Ray out there.
We've had a few tough losses as of late, I'm curious to see how we'll respond.

The bball breakdown guy coach nick tweeted that the Heatles are ranked 12th defensively
Is such a thing even possible?.
And his prediction is by the end of the season they will be top 5
@bballSource: I will make a bold prediction (ha) that the Miami #Heat will be ranked in the top 5 on defense by year's end
@bballSource: Whenever I've seen the Heat lose this year, it's been on some crazy ridiculous tough shots. Probably don't have to worry in a 7 gm series
@bballSource: I'm actually impressed Bosh had the presence of mind to shot fake, calmly knowing there was enough time to get it to Chalmers

Re: Heat @ Portland, Thursday 10:30pm ET
DVR'd the game and just finished watching. Some thoughts:
-LeBron is getting tired/banged up.
-I'll live with the Matthews three, Ray's defense was fine there.
-Spo needs to find time to rest Lebron in the 2nd half. Spo is so stupid sometimes.
-Wade and LeBron were both off.
-I'm pretty sure every Heat fan here knew the Blazers would come back. I automatically get nervous whenever this team starts getting a good lead, because they can never hold it.
-I'm glad Spo gave Harrellson and Varnado some minutes like he said he would.
-The reffing was pretty questionable.
