Chalmers has big games in him, that's what you need in the playoffs.

I don't consider him a part of the core. This is the PG era and we have one of the worst. We have plenty of big shot makers on this team without Chalmers. I'd be open to trading him.

ive liked Mario through the years, but this year is inexcusable.

With West sitting out there, its tempting. Hell, I feel better with Norris in games at this point.

You guys need to get off delonte west. If dude didn't have something seriously wrong with his brain he would have a job. His career is over.

Rio may be stupid, but at least he's not crazy. Delonte's knuckleheaded ass in Miami? Dude would get in all sorts of trouble. PEACE.

You were one of the geniuses around here that didnt want us to get Andray Blatche for the same reason, right? the same Andray Blatche who is currently averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per36, right?

Screw it, it doesn't even have to be Denlote. adjust the original trade idea : we send Mario and JJ for Dalembert, add Birdman and Martin..and give Cole big minutes as a starting PG with Allen taking some of Rio's minutes also.

Or try to get Daniel Gibson from to Cavs, giving up a future draft pick and scrubs. At least Gibson is a great shooter that would nail all the great looks Mario "career 35% shooter" is getting. he's probably a better defender too.

Gibson/Cole
Wade/Allen/Miller
LBJ/Battier/Miller
Bosh/Martin/Varnado
Dalembert/Birdman/Joel

Anything to get Mario and Haslem out of the rotation and get a competent Center and a PG.

Boobie is a good PG if all you want him to do is dribble the ball past half court and give it to LBJ

Boobie is also injury prone

Boobie defense has gone from awful to below average

Boobie is a knockdown shooter though

1/4

Mario has a finals performance that pretty much has saved him. So somehow he's allowed to play awful in the regular season. SPO seems to finally be benching him, unless we need a big shot at the end of games :o

Like Mario is so great at creating for others, right? please.
Gibson is at least at Mario's level on defense, if not better. and he's a much better shooter - which is the most important quailty we need in our PG. it's not a huge upgrade, but if we can use Mario to get Dalembert, it's sure as hell worth it in my eyes.

Mario will play better when he thinks Cole is stealing his job

They don't need Chalmers, or any other PG they can get, to create for others. They have Wade and LeBron for that. Gibson isn't a big enough upgrade over Chalmers to give up any legitimate pieces (not that Miami really has some anyway). They are both mediocre ball handlers and playmakers. Neither play great defense, in fact Chalmers has been better when comparing their defensive ratings over the last 3 years (104-101-105 compared to 114-110-111 for Gibson). When you factor in that Gibson is a FA and will probably bolt to whoever offers him the most money this off-season, it doesn't make any sense to give up a 1st rounder for him. I'd much rather use that pick and other pieces to get a decent starting PF / C, take your chances in the draft, or use it as trade bait next season.
