8 for Mullens is too much with what he has showed this season. If we could get him on a 3 to 4 year at around 4 to 5 mil I'd be happy. More than that we should let him walk.

Agreed. Unless he shows more ability on the glass (in terms of preventing offensive rebounds, mostly) and better defensive ability, he's a one dimensional player.

I think we should and will keep Hendo unless we get the #1 pick and have to draft Shabazz Muhammad whether that's matching his offer sheet or re-signing him to the qualifying offer for at least another season. He's a average or slightly above average starting SG nonetheless. At this point in our rebuild I don't think trading him for a modest upgrade in the frontcourt would make sense. I was all for trading Hendo when I thought that Biyombo and Mullens could improve enough to become consistent anchors at PF/C and all we needed was some depth behind them but now I'm heavily starting to think otherwise. We need as much frontcourt help as possible when a Tyrus Thomas shell can sometimes look like a bright spot in that area. If we get the Portland pick in this upcoming draft, I'm all for drafting two of Cody Zeller, Nerlens Noel, Alex Len, Mason Plumlee, Isaiah Austin, Willie Cauley-Stein, and/or Rudy Gobert.

Who exactly do you think Hendo is twice the player? Higgins? That hardly matters. No one aside from his daddy wants to pay Corey a dime. Hendo to me is trade bait. Whatever you seem to think Hendo is worth I would much rather offer to OJ Mayo, or even Tyreke.

OJ Mayo is already on a new contract..

But it's only a one year, 5 million dollar contract.

Mayo would be the ideal SG that we are looking for and we'll more than likely have enough money to give him the $10 million per year deal that he'll be looking for but I think the problem would be trying to sell him that our organization is about winning, and that's where we'll lose him on the open market this offseason.

I wouldn't be comfortable paying Mayo 10 mil a year.

Me neither but that's going to be his going rate this offseason and he is our ideal SG that we're looking for. That's why lately I've been more inclined to hope that we try to keep Hendo for next season at the cheapest price possible and that's the qualifying offer. I don't think Hendo will have the percepted value to demand over $8 million per year around the league being that he plays for us and everything that's Bobcats related gets a tainted point of view.

if we spend big money on anything this summer it better be for a power forward or center who can score at least 10ppg, rebound and defend the paint.

Player option in the 2nd year which he most certainly opt out of considering how he has played this year.

I support this. Tired of him shooting long range jumpshots one foot away from the 3pt line. and he has already proven that he's able to make those 3s

Good.

Him and Derozan are having a three-point contest tonight. Two "jump-shot-less guards" battling it out.

Will be interesting to see if Henderson begins to start bombing from 3.

I'm almost certain that was a preseason message, not something recent.
Humble yourself.

Yeah, it was. But judging by tonights game it looks like no ones remotely interested in taking 3's
