Ok so here is my 2 cents..
The Maloofs have lost everything and finally have to give up the one thing they love owning... The KINGS. They have tried and tried to use the Kings as leverage to get themselves out of debt and have found either more bridges to cross or more mountains to climb. There are no perfect deals but a family that needs to sell at top dollar the deal from the Seattle group looks might appealing.. Pay off Sacramento and be free and clear..... but here is what I beleve will happen
I beleive that Stern is fed up with the Maloofs. The city of Sacramento put together a proposal for a new arena (including a loan from the NBA) to keep the Kings in Sac and the greedy Maloofs wanted more. I think the NBA is presented with the agreement to move the Kings to Seattle and in a close vote are declined.. at which Stern strongly suggests to the Maloofs to sell to one of the local groups who are putting together similar offers..
With a new ownership I am hoping that Petrie is giving one year.. if he wants it of course. One year of putting the franchise in his hands and the ownership steps back and does not interfere. Give him the finances to make a playoff team..notice i did not say Championship.. one thing at a time.
Roster changes-
Keep Cousins - great big men are hard to find.. and even harder to get back.. remember olden polynice, duane causewell, etc.. do we really want to relive those days...
Scoring SF - we need a cosistent 15pt perr night, 3 pt shooting SF - a little defense would be nice
Rebounding PF - we need a shot blocking 10 rebound a night and maybe a consistent 10 pts
Slashing SG - a consistent 20 pts a game and a 3 pt assassin
A dishing PG - a consistent 15pts a game and 5 assists.. must be a deadly 3 pt shooter
We have some great talent but consistency is what we lack.. Cousins gets his 15-20 pts but he needs help.. Tyreke is good but one night we get 20 pt brillance and the next we get 5 pt no show.. .. Thing of what playoff teams have.. consistency...
again my 2 cents

Re: My 2 cents on the State of the Kings
The Maloofs are struggling financially, but no one knows how much personal wealth they have other than a sizable stake in Wells Fargo. Selling the team locally & putting a winner on the court is costly. This season they spent the maximum cap & to make this team a winner, not barely making the playoffs, will take a new gm, new coach, & a bunch of new player. Even if locals can buy the team will they be willing to spend at least another 20 million plus per year? Stern is fed up with the Maloofs, but he can't force them to sell to locals even if they bid more. This quote from today doesn't give me much hope "The Maloofs aren't interested in selling to anyone interested in keeping the team in Sacramento."

Why do you think the BOG would decline the move? They voted on the Sonics move too. It came out 27-2 Cuban and Paul Allen were the only two owners who didn't want the team to move.
Personally I think the owners will vote yes because if they ever have to move their team they don't want the other owners keeping them from doing it.
