LOL please. We're going to get to the Eastern Conference Finals at the very worst. And no, we actually have a robust core going forward, unlike your team. Morris, Ebanks, Sacre, Duhon, Clark... You're the one to talk about the future.

WHAT?! Who exactly is in your robust core? Bradley, Green, Rondo, Sullinger? Spare the crap dude and last I checked we have Dwight and a bunch of cap space after the whole team expires in 2014, oh and not to mention LA is a suitable destination for every star in the league. Not sure if anyone can say the same about the Celtics who couldn't even land a single worthy player other then pierce for 20 years.

Oh I forgot to mention, if you really believe that Ebanks, Morris, Sacre, Duhon, Clark are our core going into the future then i recommend that you seek medical help

Just in the past half-decade, we've landed Garnett and Allen. They aren't "worthy players"? Not sure who needs the medical help.

To bad I was mentioning the time in between you guys landed those two. 18-20 year of being irrelevant, sounds solid!

Sorry, but Boston is every bit as screwed as LA is this season and much more screwed for the future.

You're most ardent homers shut up a long time ago.

So welcome to the Lakers Bandwagon Bro... There's plenty of room, come on in, have a coffee and get comfortable... Cause Boston is irrelivant. And will be until they blow it up.

Speculations are just that -- mere speculations, and nothing more. They carry no substance. Your fans are the ones clamoring for a Pau Gasol trade, begging and whining for anyone to have drag your sinking ship out of the water.

We've beaten Chicago before, we'll beat them again. Our only obstacle to the finals is Miami, and I don't think I have to repeat what happened last year. You may argue that they didn't have Bosh, but we also didn't have Green and Bradley, who make a much bigger impact on our team than Bosh does for Miami.

Sorry, to say that "Boston is every bit as screwed as LA is this season" is just ludicrous. Your team was prematurely crowned by your fanbase as the 2013 champions, and look at them now -- perhaps the biggest star-studded implosion in NBA history. Truly a shame. I almost feel sorry for Lakers fans that your team is the only one that hasn't even won in the year 2013 yet. And to say that we're more screwed for the future -- boy I am so frightened by Dwight Howard; that is, if he decides to even stay in Los Angeles, which he probably won't because of the egotistical chucker that Kobe is.

And just so you know, through your remark about the bandwagon, you implicitly implied that you're part of the bandwagon. Having said that, I would not be surprised at all to catch you on TV with a Clippers jersey on dancing around with every Griffin dunk.

LOL this was one hell of a funny post but the bold takes the gold. Most if not your whole fan base on realgm were complaining about how Green sucks and if I can recall correctly there were even threads made by celtic fans saying he used drugs and that is why he sucks but now he is greater then Bosh. Bradley and Green combined don't nearly make the same impact as Bosh on a Heat team who's greatest weakness is size. Try again buddy.

Yikes, why is this guy even on this forum?

Anyway, even if Sloan wasn't too old, his head would surely explode on live tv if he was our head coach. Even if the lakers were considering him, I'm not so sure he would even consider coaching here.

Sloan's age isn't an issue to most teams. They'd gladly interview him if he were interested in coaching them.

Even your most blatant homers like Magic have given up on your dreadful team -- "It's over for my Lakers. No playoffs, no nothing." And also Jack Nicholson walking out early on the Lakers. It's over for your Lakers hahaha.
Wow boasting about beating lowly east teams......some things never change. You want to take shots at who were playing ?

What the hell has half your roster done ? You only have 3 guys left from your 08 team. You aren't a contender in the pitiful east and further more you AREN'T beating Miami. New York or Chicago if Rose returns healthy.

At least the Lakers started the season being noted as a contender, the Celtics were just hoping to be somewhat relevant. And now comes reports of Pierce reportedly being discussed in trades.

Like I said.....that paper bag is coming son!

I wish blatant trolls (or really crappy posters) like this guy weren't allowed in the Lakers board. It's really funny too, because I've seen this same Celtics homer always post in threads regarding the Lakers in the GB always posting "no one cares, Lakers board", yet he must care enough since he's lurking the Lakers board himself. Did your Celtics team return to its typical boring state that you are now forced to come to your rival teams board? Sorry...it must suck to be a fan of a team from...Boston.

As for the topic, I don't think Jim Buss thought Sloan would have been a good fit, and I also would have expected him and Kobe to clash as well. Just look what happened with Deron. :o

Celtics in even worse need for an overhaul. Won't be too soon before the famous paper bags come back as a fashion statement in Beantown.

Your lack of Basketball knowledge is embarrassing. Like any opinionated loud mouthed Laker hater you fail to acknowledge the actual issues behind why the team hasn't performed well such as Injuries for one main reason. bad coaching decisions being another. Then again a biased Boston Celtics fan probably would be more interested in just seeing win loss records and just lol'ing and derailing threads for the sake of it.
Thanks you for the memories:

I have been keeping on Sloan news, since he is left my Jazz...

He went to MJ's team to hear them out about coaching, but just walked away from the job, and didnt' comment on why...probably because he knew all the flaws in this team were bad...plus MJ is an ****.

Honestly I could see Sloan coming to Lakers, I mean the Mailman did. But I think the only reason he wouldn't is because he didn't want to piss off Jazz fans...That is the last thing you want to do...I mean how would you guys feel if Jackson refused to come back, but signed up for Jazz's headcoach??!

Jackson left Chicago and became a multiple champion with the Lakers... Bad example.

In fact, I don't think anyone of Sloan's competitive nature would give a single **** about Jazz fans being upset...

The only reason he isn't coaching is that he doesn't really want to, the phone isn't ringing, or the right situation isn't out there right now.

Sloan isn't going to join the Lakers simply because Malone did years ago.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
