Re: Bobcats sign Ramon Sessions
Shooting guards are a dime a dozen. Good point guards are hard to find. I say we keep both, draft big, and sign a two guard. It would be extremely idiotic to trade a good point guard who is one of the keys to our current success for at two guard we think might be good one day, but could end up being no better than Hendo.

I think you might have meant that the other way around?

I don't know about trading Sessions for Lamb but I think with the way he is playing we can trade him for something decent.
I think we keep him but we are going to have to pay out the a$$ for a backup who admittedly is in sixth man contention this early.

I'm still all for trading Sessions for Lamb & Maynor. There isn't a SG coming out of the 2013 draft class that I can honestly say is better and have a higher celing than Lamb except maybe Shabazz Muhammad, who has questionable shooting range. I don't expect Sessions to play at this level for multiple seasons, or even after All-Star Weekend. If Sessions is not a part of the future plan, which I'm sure he is not, then buy low & sell high. This is the highest trade value the Bobcats will have on him as an asset. I love what he's doing, but it's only so long Sessions can masquerade as a SG for a winning team.

Re: Bobcats sign Ramon Sessions
I think he has good value but I'm not sure OKC would do that, I agree about Lamb though, he has bucketloads of potential and would be great for us.
Lamb was a big reason for the Harden trade and Presti must be extremely high on him.
Sessions in my opinion is going to go to a contender that wants to win it now or a team that is seriously trying to get over the playoff hump.
It's a shame that teams like Washington and Cleveland filled their combo guard needs through the draft and teams like Sacto and Chicago did so through free agency.
Teams like Detroit, Toronto or LAL most likely don't have the assets to trade for Sessions atm, he is on a tear.
Some possible trades:
Charlotte trade:
Ramon Sessions
Reggie Williams
Dallas trade:
Brandan Wright
Jae Crowder
Rodrigue Beaubois
Charlotte trade:
Ramon Sessions
Chicago trade:
Jimmy Butler
Charlotte first
Charlotte trade:
Ramon Sessions
Reggie Williams
Washington trade:
Jan Vesely
Jordan Crawford
I'm not sure Dallas would bite although Sessions is the best player in the trade, I'm really high on Crowder; Chicago would really consider that trade and Washington would love a player like Sessions who can play with both Wall and Beal.

What's your point? Some of the best point guards spend minutes at the two.
Noteable guards, Prerequisite average 15 plus per game, or double figures in scoring and at least four in another key statistics:
points:
Kyrie Irving, Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard, Kemba Walker, Jrue Holiday, Stephen Curry, Deron Williams, Brandon Jennings, Tony Parker, Goran Dragic, Chris Paul, Ramon Sessions, Raymond Felton, Darren Collison, Rajon Rhondo, Jeff Teague, Ty Lawson, Jeremy Lin, AJ Price, George Hill, Mo Williams, Greiveis Vasquez, Nate Robinson, Luke Ridnour, Brandon Knight
Noetable two guards:
Monta Ellis, Jamal Crawford, Jordan Crawford, Kobe Bryant, OJ Mayo, Kevin Martin, Marcus Thornton, Dion Waiters, JJ Redick, James Harden, Demar Derozan, Nicholas Batum, Wesley Matthews, JR Smith, Arron Affalo, Joe Johnson, Paul George, Andre Iguadala,

stud shooting guards are a rare breed right now, ebb and flow. however, a good pg always seems more valuable to me than a good shooting guard. its hard to find a kobe, but its easy to find an arron afflalo.

From a Grantland article:
http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-trian ... n-williams
An average NBA guard shoots 2.9 attempts at the rim per 40 minutes of play; however, many guards are much more active near the basket than that. Using shots near the rim as our basic criterion, the top five attack guards in the NBA per hoopdata.com* are:
1. Ramon Sessions 7.9
2. Tyreke Evans 7.3
3. Russell Westbrook 6.9
4. Dwyane Wade 6.7
5. James Harden 6.5

Now that he's shooting under 40% I don't know whether to consider it amazing or pathetic.

He's actually pretty good around the rim. I wish he'd completely stop taking jump shots though. His jumper is the pathetic part.

I would usually agree that Sessions is actually pretty good at scoring around the rim but he's only converting at just under 50% (.495 FG%) of his attempts in that area. Both Kemba (56%) and BG (54%) are converting at a better clip than him around the basket. The problem is that he's been forcing the issue too much and that's why it's pathetic considering that he's shooting less than 40% everywhere else on the floor. Getting to the free throw line has been his only saving grace lately.

Ramon "Second Best Bobcats PG Ever" Sessions
Bonnell tweeted earlier that Sessions was the 2nd best PG ever as a Bobcat with Felton being first.

Re: Bobcats sign Ramon Sessions
I'd probably put him third behind Walker and Felton. You could probably even make a case for 2nd, bumping Felton down. We definitely have the best PG rotation in franchise history right now.
