Yeah, remember, Robbie Hummel, picked at #58 in the last draft, 6' 8'' wing.

Now he is playing in Spain for Bluesens, an ACB team. He had a knee injury and now he is playing again after a surgery.

His last game : 23 min, 18 pts 3 rebs

I loved this kid and was excited the second we drafted him. Dunno why he couldn't play instead of Lazer Hayward!

He is playing A LOT better each game, started the season with a serious injury which is totally behind him now, making clutch shots, taking responsability, guarding much bigger guys (he has to play the 4 here). He had to guard extensive minutes Nathan Jawai from FC Barcelona last week and did allright - just google the guy. He makes huge advantages in pick & pop situations, baseline shots getting off screens and facing the bigger and slower 4 guys on opposite teams.

My point being, let him stay here another year please

His shot is flat and the release weird, but he´s a very, very effective shooter. He doesn´t need much space because his qeird release is also extremely fast. Wolves could use a payer like him.

About his defense... it didn´t look that bad, but yes, I guess lateral speed is the issue with him.

Yeah, lateral velocity ... I remember when people was saying Ricky can't defend because he hadn't lateral velocity. And I ask now, who has lateral velocity in the current team?

hummel is actually skilled in a lot different areas which makes him pretty versatile on the court. he hasn't really mastered anything specifically and he certainly isn't a unique player by any means. fortunately he has the size to play in the nba. he may not be the quickest guy on the court, but at least you can always rely on his abilities to space the floor. a lot of people criticize him because he doesn't have too much upside. this team though needs guys who can contribute immediately. he's a good locker room presence and really just someone who can push others to try harder because he too will be battling for minutes. i actually know virtually nothing about hummel. i just gave a fake scouting report for fun.

Play him in Summer League and see if he defend borderline talent. Evaluate after that.
