Re: Texans @ Patriots
Question: does the note that Jennings leaves for himself in the old spice commercial remind himself that if he gets injured and sits out most of the season and then doesnt show up for the Packers playoff loss he then won't get franchise tagged by the packers so he can get a lucrative long term deal in free agency?

Even if the Falcons lose I will still say they are a better team than the Packers because they had the #1 seed with a 13-3 record and made it to the NFC Championship game. But it's fine with me if we use this NFC Championship as to what extent that is.
I think the game Sunday is a toss up.
But I don't that if the Falcons lose they will lose nearly as bad as the Packers did or that the 49ers will have damn near 600 yards of offense on the Falcons defense.
And I didn't put you on ignore,I been posting on Realgm for almost 10 years and have never once put anyone on ignore.I enjoy posting but I don't think I could ever take Realgm seriously enough to put someone on ignore, this is all entertainment to me.
I don't think it got locked, but the good news is that at the very least we agree about the stupidity of the ignore feature.
But anyway that's the bet I was proposing, not that the falcons would win but instead simply that the falcons will fare worse than the packers did this weekend. I don't agree that the game is a tossup, I think the Niners are like 60-65% to win the game whereas I felt like they were only like 55 percent to win the game this weekend against the packers and I think that will be reflected in the line when it comes out. I haven't checked the line for that game yet but if the Niners are favored by less than 3 1/2 I would be incredibly surprised... So is that a fair deal? If The Falcons come out with a better showing then the packers next week I will concede that the Falcons are better and vice versa for u? No hard feelings man, like u said this is all just entertainment...

I'll be happy with any team winning besides the 49ers, even the Pats

Re: Texans @ Patriots
Just checked, the line opened at niners -3 but quickly moved to -3 1/2. Honestly I think that's low and I think it will move more towards the niners by next weekend...
Edit: And what that in a certain way means, because of course the pack were 3 point underdogs this week and therefore would have been 3 point favorites if the game had been at home, is essentially that, assuming both the packers and falcons are at home, the Packers are 6 1/2 points better than the Falcons. Even though that's not quite how it works that actually seems about right to me, I think the packers should be favored by 5-6 points on a neutral field against the Falcons. I know u wont agree with me on that, I'm just pointing it out because that being what Vegas linemakers think is fair definitely has some significance...

It's all good Buck.
If the Falcons lose as bad or worse than the Packers did I'll at least come visit your side of the fence....lol.
As a Packer fan I hope the Falcons lose as bad as we did,it will make me feel a little better about how we got beat because that was embarrassing.

Cool man, sounds good. The ironic thing about our little agreement though is that you're going to be rooting for the Niners to blow out the Falcons to make our loss less embarrassing, and I'm goin to be rooting for the Falcons because I want the Niners knocked off so they don't win Super Bowl #6. Either outcome is a win-win in a way for both of us lol...
Edit: Well except for a close Falcons loss, in that case it's a double loss for me lol...

I'll also be rooting for the 49ers because 49ers vs either the Ravens or Patriots would have the potential to be a really entertaining match-up in the Super Bowl.
I just think the Falcons are a really good balanced team that is underrated by a lot of people. The game that really made me a believer in the Falcons was that 34-0 blowout of the Giants, that was impressive.
It's not luck or chance that they are hosting the NFC Championship game this weekend and I don't think anyone should be shocked if they win.

See, that would explain a HUGE amount of our difference of opinion. That game was impressive when it happened, but looking back i feel like that win can be pretty easily chalked up the giants being, for whatever reason, a complete and total mess at that point in the season. That's why I think this next game against the Niners will be so incredibly telling as far as how good the Falcons are. I have my opinion u have yours, but after next weekend I guarantee our respective opinions on the Falcons will be SIGNIFICANTLY closer to being in line with each other...

Re: Texans @ Patriots
What more can be said, the Patriots are simply the class organization of this league and now Brady is the all-time winningist QB in postseason play.
The Pats continue to exercise a healthy blend of draft/develop, along with savvy moves via free agency. It starts from the top down, everything about this team is well thought out. Kraft runs a tight ship, Belichick is a legend and Brady may go down as the best ever.
People hate the Patriots but you have to give them there well-deserved due respect. That was a business win against the Texans and I would be surprised if BB and Brady are not playing in their 6th Super Bowl (hows that for a stat).
This was just a well oiled machine and the Texans cannot seem to take that next step. Should be an epic slugfest next week between Baltimore and NE.

Flacco vs. Matt Ryan Super Bowl is like my nightmare.
I don't like either of those guys and think they are both super overrated. I would not be able to stomach the suck fest that would come with the victory for either of them.
Just hoping Brady wins because he's already in contention for the GOAT QB. At least he's deserving of being showered with praise.

Flacco vs. Ryan in the Superbowl = me and many others not watching. Atlanta got so lucky to win that game, but they will get properly trucked by SF this weekend. B'more will give NE all they can handle, but I have to think they are just physically and emotionally spent after that epic slug fest. We will see.
