No Masvidal. Interesting.

I'm excited that Bowling's coming over, wasn't sure of him making it. He'd put on entertaining scraps with Riddle, Matt Brown, etc.

I think we should include in bold the Strikeforce fighters who've already fought or have signed fights for the UFC b4 this list came out such as Derek Brunson, Caros Fodor, Robbie Lawler etc.

Personally, I think it would be insane not to bring back Josh Barnett. Keep him on a really short leash with the whole steroid thing but he's too talented not to add to the mix. Same thing with Rafael Calvacante.

Plus I have to say I am surprised to see Roger Gracie on this list and Jorge Masvidal off this list. Gracie seems too raw in the standup game to really make a dent in the UFC right now and Masvidal's a good fighter. And what about Adlan Amagov, he looks like a good young middleweight prospect as well. Plus Gian Villante's coming over but no Ovice St. Preux?

Don't really care about Barnett, to be completely honest. Too old, too sketchy a person, won't be a top contender. I don't see the point and I'd rather they invest in younger HWs because that's a damn old division.

I can sort of understand that but at the same time there isn't exactly a wave of top tier young heavyweight talent out there waiting to be signed. The last couple Bellator heavyweight tournaments have proven underwhelming. Just look at this list of heavyweights a guy from BleacherReport.com listed as guys he thinks could be used for a new season of The Ultimate fighter heavyweights.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1481 ... ast/page/2

Not exactly a murderers row of guys. This is why its such a shame Strikeforce is dead. I think it would have made perfect sense for the UFC to have its own minor league system where they could build their own stars rather than have to poach them from organizations like Bellator.

Yeah, it's not a deep pool. It's also against Dana's MO, which is to milk every fight possible and I'm sure you could throw Barnett/Big Nog together and sell that fight. Personally, I just don't think I care enough. There's some guys like Hackert and Economou who should have been given a call a while ago, but aren't in the Octagon for whatever reason.

No Masvidal as of yet is really disappointing. One of my favorite strikeforce fighters along with Mousasi.

Also, bring Barnett over. I'll be honest I don't like the guy, but there are good matchups to be made. He'd be in the Mir/Bigfoot tier imo. He recently said he could beat any heavyweight in the world on a given night, so at worst he could come over and get beat up by JDS before he rematches Cain or something.

I WOULD love to see JDS pop his slow ass in the face all day while not being threatened once, Carwin style.

Judging by the type of money Barnett commands, he would be getting fights like that. He's not going to come in and fight Phil DeFries.

That's why I think it's not worth it unless he's capable of fighting for a title within two or three fights and I don't think he is.

Stupid question, but does Strikeforce still have female fighters under contract?

If so, I was expecting to see a few on here in the UFC's attempt to create that 135 div.

I am SO excited to see Jacare in the MW division.

My fav. SF fighter by far.

I admit to not being a huge Jacare fan, but I think he's going to be a real x factor in the ufc's suddenly exciting MW division.

You see that guy / hear him talk etc and just get the feeling that he is one of these freaks that probably could have been good at just about anything he wanted to do.

Yup.....
First time I saw him back when I thought he looked like Abobo from Double Dragon.
With his striking taking leaps and bounds and his jjitz being insane, he's gonna to murk some guys.

I do not see many UFC MWs wanting to get into a war with him.
He has flaws, but he's right up there in that MW division right away.

HGH on a Pole match. Winner calls out Chael Sonnen, lights go out briefly and then come back on revealing BROCK LESNAR standing in the middle of the Octagon.

I just realized that. Where are all the chicks Dana White? You can't have a division of 2.
