On the bright side, we have Meeks, who's one of the better backup 2s we've had in the Kobe era. So hopefully if we get stops earlier in the game, we won't need as much Kobe in the 4th.

It's an adjustment... It could work... But it won't mean a lot unless the rest of the team focuses more on D too... So we'll have to see what happens over the next couple games.

One thing I'm concerned about is I think this team needs to get into a rhythm, and while I know all the adjustments and rotation changes have been necessary because we've been sucking, I have a feeling this team is never going to get into true form until the rotations are set in stone, roles clearly defined, playing style nailed down, and all that. So along with winning some games, times running out for us to get all that sorted too...
For the record, that's as much the players responsibility too, because these guys aren't playing the same way from one game to the next.

This!!!!! Well said

because all he had to do is give some space to rondo who couldn't hit a jumper and the no improved version of westbrook. it helps because kobe doesn't put any effort when off the ball, but I hope nobody is waiting for a miracle defensively.

I don't have a problem with this, but somebody else better step up to the plate and provide a consistent scoring threat. Otherwise you will gas Kobe on the defensive end and lose a lot of what you get from his offense.

Let's see where it goes, I cannot imagine Kobe chasing Brandon Jennings around tonight, but maybe I am not giving the Mamba enough credit.
Ball so hard.

Kobe will not be guarding Jennings, tonight. Is everyone forgetting about the notorious ball-chucker known as Monta Ellis. In fact, Ellis has a higher usage rate than Jennings. . .

Guess I was wrong. In fact, I'm very pleased to admit I was wrong. Kobe did a great job on Jennings.

Ok...so who does Kobe guard against Miami? If he guard their best player, that would be Lebron...lol?

Earl Clark will bother Lebron enough...I think Kobe will actually have an easy assignment on Wade considering he's been guarding these small PGS as of late.

What do you think? Kobe on Lebron, or Clark on Lebron?

Clark and Metta on lebron.
Kobe can shut down Wade. and Clark/Metta can make Lebron work.

IDK if u can just shut down Wade one on one because he lives off the pick from his big's. Just try to make him a jump shooter and contest the jumpers and live with the results. To be honest Metta has always been one of the better defenders on Lebron throughout the years. Its a better matchup for Metta, of course Lebron has gotten his share of buckets on Metta but if we keep the Heat in a halfcourt game Artest can have a higher chance of success defending Lebron. We just dont want to turn this into a track meet. Also I say we put Earl Clark on Bosh, we need length on Bosh to be able to contest those jumpers he will get off the 4 and 5 pick n roll with Lebron. We probably should have Nash on Allen and Chalmers, on this team both are spot up shooters. We need Dwight to dominate that inside tho and keep Wade and Lebron away from the paint when they try to get that rub screen to get loose from Kobe and Metta
