LeBron James on the verge of making history...

Post#1 » by dreamchaser » Wed Jan 16, 2013 4:42 pm

lebron james is just 18pts away from being the youngest player ever in nba history to reach 20,000pts, this is another great milestone from lebron james after being the youngest player in nba history to win rookie of the year, to record a triple-double, to score 1,000 points, to score 10,000 points, to win mvp honors at an all-star game...

At this point, Lebron's legacy will be determined by number of rings he can attain. I think that by now he's above the personal statistical achievements. it's all about FMVP and Rings now. That's how i look at it and hopefully he feels the same.

Not only that, he might be the first player to reach 20,000 points, with over 5,000 rebounds, and 5,000 assists. I know he's just two assists away from reaching 5,000 assists, but not even Jordan and Kobe had 5,000 rebounds, and 5,000 assists when they reached 20,000 points.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

He needs to accomplish it tonight just for the sake of having accomplished it faster than Shaq.

In terms of games played, James would be the seventh-fastest in NBA history to join the 20,000 club. Wednesday will be his 726th regular-season game.

Wilt Chamberlain needed only 499 games to score 20,000, followed by Michael Jordan (620), Oscar Robertson (671), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (684), Elgin Baylor (711) and Allen Iverson (713). Shaquille O'Neal did it in 727 games.

Glad I'm not the only one. He's constantly on this board, throwing in his worthless 2 cents or pointless gifs. I thought we had mods to take care of this kind of thing?

It should be noted that none of those guys came out of high school and all expect for maybe Shaq did so in eras where it was much easier to score.
Your emotions fuel the narratives that you create. You see what you want to see. You believe what you want to believe. You ascribe meaning when it is not there. You create significance when it is not present.

Why so uptight? And you can't tell me if I am a fan or not, that's up to me to decide.
And yes I am a heat fan. I followed every game in 08-09/09-10. That's before the big 3.

Okay, I don't understand how that GIF could offend anyone.

Ya'll need to lay off mirrornick, he seems like an all around basketball fan. Good to have outside perspectives on things.
