I think Bledsoe will command a minimum of a 4 year/ 36 million dollar contract. So, we could either keep him and enjoy what he brings to the table for the next one and a half years or we could trade him I'm the off season for a team in need of young PG. My ideal scenario would be that we keep him and he works very hard in his shooting on the off season, in search of a huge pay day. You know what? He probably will do that, we should just keep him for huge short term results. We could sign a shooter like Korver or Morrow in the offseason.

he is locked next season. so if we trade him mid season we can get a lotery pick.

but ideal if he gets shot at sg

Ok. I thought u ment we could trade him for picks after next years draft after the season is over. So, I guess you mean we could trade him to a team at mid season that is headed towards the lottery. The problem with that is, why would a rebuilding team trade their lottery pick for a guy that is going to be a free agent in a couple months?

bled will be restricted free agent.
so they can match any offer they get

Yeah, the fact that Bledsoe will be a restricted free agent rather then a unrestricted free agent does kind of increase his trade value at the deadline, so maybe some team will trade a lottery pick for him at that point, if they know for sure that they will match any offer that he is given, the 2014 draft class might have more PGs though.

scoobs07 wrote:Maybe Bledsoe+Clippers pick for Hayword+Warriors pick? As of right now the Clippers are projected to have the 30th pick and the Warriors are projected to have the 24th pick. Utah owns that pick. Billups could be resigned to be the back up PG and the Clippers could draft a quick change of pace PG with the 24th pick.

The potential prob with that is Hayward came in the same year as Bledsoe. Ideally we'd get a high pick or younger guy, so we can postpone the salary cap implications thing.

yeah didn't realize their rookie contracts have same length. we need to look elsewhere for a cheaper and younger player or get a real high pick for bled. hayward doesn't seem to be the answer that we are looking for.
ehhhhh f it.

On the positive side for Gay, the thread title makes me laugh every time I see it-
