The Heat were coasting, gentlemen.
but the upcoming game vs the Lakers? and a chance to end their season, since the Lakers can't afford any more losses if they want to make the playoffs?
Heat hit the switch, blew out the warriors, got some rest and are ready for tomorrow night's game.
Them's the facts.

If you guys cant see the difference in effort when this team decides to play defense and not, I dont know what to tell you.
With an exception from Bosh, We played tonights game like a Playoff game. It was good to see.

Hey man, Whats your opinion on this? Serious question.
Just some immature trolls on this website, is all. Too many young people on here that don't know how to act. I was asked that question back when we signed Ray Allen, and my answer then was the same.
I wanted Marcus Camby, I did not want Ray Allen.
It then turned out that Camby was gone to the Knicks, and we weren't even going to sign Ray Allen who was leaning towards going back to the Celtics. So I celebrated that my team got the player they wanted.
But my posts were clear I wanted Camby from day one and I can go dig that ish up and make him look dumb if I want to.
But instead, you guys are mostly 17 year olds so I don't waste my time.

This game in a word : Defense.
Curry being out helped. UD was decent for once, Lewis showing sighs of life.
The LA game will be a better indicator to where we at as a team.

You guys are the masters of insulting fellow Heat fans. A lot of you are immature in that aspect and have no qualms making fun of each other.
This is just another evidence of it. He quoted me out of context, anyone can do that to make someone look bad, even if it's bogus. I posted a reply to that thread so go read it.
You all need to check how you behave, not a second should be spent trying to diss another Heat fan here. Way too much immaturity on this board.

They're waiting for a loss...as usual.
You heard of fairweather fans? There are also fairweather haters. They love to play the results, because they can only play the results. When you have a game like last night, that demonstrates, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this team has been cruising on reduced effort, they're silent. When we lose another game because we're just playing lazy again, you'll get the pitchforks and torches lined up to "Fire Spo RAWR!"
I mean, if last night shows anything, it's that Spo can't adjust, his defensive system is a liability against a good-shooting team, he is clueless on offense, he overplays Lebron, he underplays Wade, he turned Bosh into a woman, and WTF isn't Jorts playing...huh? RAWR! Ask them who they'd replace Spo with, and it's a lot of hmm-ing and huh-ing.
I said it a bunch of times already, but it never gets old. We are coasting. The regular season means nothing Wait until April if you really want to complain about regular season games actually meaning something. If you really think the team is in trouble, just give up already, because you have no understanding of this team. We're winning it all again, and that's just the way it is. PEACE.

Agreed, the Heat are coasting. Sometimes I think it's because Spo's system just demands too much from our stars to be able to keep up 82 games a season and still be fresh enough to run the tables in the playoffs.

I feel like having Ray Allen on the team has been a huge factor in lbj's shooting improvement. We all know this dude is a sponge and a workaholic much like rayray. Could we look back on this years from now and see the signing of the greatest shooter of all time as a major milestone in his career? Even wades shooting has been better this season as far as I can see. Wades gotten even better moving off the ball this season as well. I think constantly having ray Allen as a resource has to have something to do with it.
Us as fans can't really comprehend the intangible impact certain individuals have. Hell, I remember reading an article where Chauncey billups credits Rick Carlisle for his blossoming as a player during his early years.

LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

I was thinking the same thing. It's funny that his biggest contribution to our team might not be on the court. I remember reading before the season about him teaching LeBron the shooting drills he's done his whole career. There was another article about a week or two ago where I think it was they were talking on a bus ride and LeBron talked about wanting to hit 50/40/90. I think it was also Ray who helped him with his new FT form.

You do realize that you are in fact literally playing the result (and beating GSW without their best player isn't that amazing of a result)
You apologists are ridiculous with playing the result. We lose a bunch of games where we are the heavy favorite and its all the regular season doesn't matter. Then we beat an average-ish team (without Curry they might be worse) and its all "see we are soooo good". That's playing the result. In reality this should be the NORM not something to celebrate and gloat over.
If the team is constantly playing lazy, THAT IS THE COACHES FAULT.
If we are coasting then making your best player constantly play around 40 minutes and at times have to battle much bigger players is a HUGE COACHING MISTAKE.
I love how your narrative is every game we lose we're coasting and then every now and then we sprinkle in some effort. bull. Lebron plays his ass off every single game for almost the whole game. Why doesn't Spo tell him we are just coasting? Why does Spo keep saying that we are NOT coasting? I guess you know better than Spo.
I haven't been calling for his head. I just don't think he is a top 3 coach like you do. And I think we should be playing better and could be playing better with a better coach.
It shows how much we have fallen that you are making a big deal about beating GSW without Curry. We had the three best players in the game and they were missing their best, aren't we supposed to beat them?
You keep saying we are coasting but Spo says we are not. I trust Spo's opinion over yours. He is also playing Lebron 40 minutes. If that's part of the coasting plan then we are incompetent at coasting.
I don't think the team is in trouble, I just think we should be playing better. Why should we give up already? Did you give up after the Indiana game? Why do we have to give up now then? We aren't even as bad as you were. You were the one calling for his head and saying he couldn't see stuff that the average fan could. Even then haters who actually are calling for his head (not me) don't go that far.
You saying that we ARE winning it all this year means nothing because if we don't you'll just flip flop again. If we do win it all, then its just saying the most likely outcome is going to happen. We are the favorites. We should win it all. Winning a title is expected, anything less is a failure for this team.
Your emotions fuel the narratives that you create. You see what you want to see. You believe what you want to believe. You ascribe meaning when it is not there. You create significance when it is not present.
