Curry Out Indefinitely With Sprained Ankle-

Stephen Curry is out indefinitely with a sprain of his right ankle that was sustained in Wednesday's shootaround.

"I haven't had a sprain in two-and-a-half months, so my ligaments are as probably the healthiest they've been," Curry said. "Just have to wait and see how they recover. "

"I haven't been in this situation for a while. I don't know if it will be a fast or slow kind of deal just because after two surgeries and all that process, it finally had the time to cool down. So we'll see tomorrow."

Jazz own the GSW pick....which would be #23 now.

CUrry did not play last night and GS got stomped by 20.

If curry is out a month or has ongoing problems this year ...they will fade.

GS is 23-14 now. What will they be in the future if Curry is out half the time? I hope they drop to 500.

They are only 3.5 games ahead of Utah.

It is likely their pick ends up in the 15 - 20 range.

I'm so conflicted on Golden State. On the one hand, I want that pick to be as good as possible, on the other hand, I just feel for the kid. He's got the potential and the skills to be a perennial All-Star but he's got glass ankles.

I also feel for Bogut, who is an awesome guy and a baller, but is just hampered by injuries.

I think it is obvious to everyone that he is a major key to their success this season. If he is out, they will struggle badly. Their next month is pretty brutal and they are .500 in their last 10.

If their pick ends up around 15 and ours around 15-20, I think we will have a good chance of landing the player I want (Trey Burke) by either moving up by packaging if his stock moves up, or if he stays there at the #20 pick (which I doubt).

As far as Curry goes, as Stock points out, just sad. He is a great player and if only he could stay healthy i think he makes the All-Star team. After two surgeries, he will probably deal with this forever and miss a chunk of games every season. They got him on a bargain if he is healthy, but I guess that is why he signed a smaller deal than if he was healthy 100% of the time.

Yup, I want him.

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Trey-Burke-36200/

Hes a good shooter (51.5% FG, 39% 3P, 80% FT) decent rebounder, and his assists are at 7 a game with only 1.8 TO's a game. He's fun to watch. He's got good handles, he uses hesitations pretty good, draws fouls quite a bit and he is helping his team win a lot of games as a main player.

I think his stock will rise as the season goes. I just hope that if he is out of our range, we can swing a deal by packaging picks, etc to get him.

Since it is GSW I celebrate. I do not hope for the injury to be damaging to Curry's career or to himself physically, but I do hope that it takes a long while for him to recover. If he had to sit out the rest of the season it would be poetic justice.

does anyone else think this is funny?:

The Golden State Warriors have instituted a new policy where injured players will not be available to speak to the media until they return to game action.

Players will speak when the injury happens and then be unavailable.

it looks like it is done so that the management won't be caught lying to their fans again after the whole bogut fiasco. doesn't make them look good, that's for sure.

I hope he is out and that other injuries or team difficulties arise until they fall to the 8th pick. Then I hope Otto Porter or Poythress fall to that spot and end up being the next Rudy Gay/ Paul Pierce/ Paul George (SF"s who slipped to 8 and 10 respectively) and end up being studs... and then I hope the SF they drafted after their massive tank job ends up being pedestrian for his career.

With all the tanking, then the coin flip etc that occured to drop from 8 to 7 and keep their pick... I want them to fall as low as possible and then end up with a true all star with their pick.

Am I bitter? Yes, with last years 8 pick we could have easily packaged to move up to get Lillard.

Also on Burke... I am not sold yet... don't know if he has a pro body.
