Big Baby is Back - Thoughts on his value?

Post#1 » by WhiteMambaLol » Wed Jan 16, 2013 5:15 pm

Wondering what his value would be in my league.

Yahoo, 10 players, H2H, 10 cats (fg%, ft%, 3pt%, Pts, Rbs, Ast, Stls, Blks, TO, Fouls)

I am pretty strong on forward/centers. I have David West, Brook Lopez, Robin Lopez, Tyson Chandler, and Demarcus Cousins, so I don't think I would need him, but maybe I could drop someone hoping Big Baby has good trade value.

I doubt he will have good trade value in your league, seeing that hes still on your waivers. also, andrew nicholson will most likely still get burn this season, taking away from big babys minutes. and nikola v has proved he is the teams best big, so he'll also take away production from big baby, who in my opinion is a low efficient, turnover prone, chucker.

and lets not forget that al harrington is said to be back in the line up sometime in feb

true, i forgot about harrington. what do you think about Granger? He is still on the wire but i know someone is gonna swipe him soon. He has shoot poor fg percentage his whole career, like 42ish, but he has great ft, and points. do you think i should drop Dudley for Granger?

granger is worth a pick up. and even if he does shoot a low% that hurts your team, his name alone may have some trade value around your league once healthy and seeing 30+ mins a game. as for dropping dudley for him; id like to see your team before making that move. personally, i like dudley this season. hes been efficient and hitting most cats every night.

Thanks for response, i like your ideas.

Here is my team:

PG: Lillard, Lawson, D Rose
SG: Kevin Martin, Dudley
SF: Gay, Gallinari
PF: David West
C: Brook Lopez, Robin Lopez, Tyson Chandler, Cousins

For a while I wanted to drop Gallinari, but he has been coming on strong lately, I have watched a bunch of Denver games and he seems to be getting more consistent with his stroke. Gay has been pretty bad, but replacing him with Granger wouldn't improve anything except FT%.

I am most strongly thinking about trading West for another PF. West isn't as consistent anymore and I think Granger coming back chucking up shots combined with Paul George will reduce his role even more. But who do you think I could get for West? I tried for Z-Bo, Anthony Davis but those were both rejected.

you nailed it

Shop Gay/Lillard for anything better than either player, add Granger.

How do these sound:

Lillard and Gay for D Wade (i know unlikely, but the owner is a noob - doesnt know basketball or fantasy)
or
Lillard and Gay for Dirk

That's fine. Doesn't matter dude. Time is of the essence. Any one player better than both Gay or Lillard is fine. The deal is essentially Gay/Lillard for [Player]/[Granger]. I can think of at least 40 [players] that would make that trade a win for you.
