Some of you guys need to chill. Its the first true bad game the team has had for a while. Monroe is so underrated now on this board its sad.

There's nothing underrated about Monroes defense.

It was a big who could shoot 3s, defend, athletic, and score a little in the post. Whether it was Rasheed or Cliff Robinson, they were both essentially the same player. Sheed just being a more talented version.

So considering Drummond is very much like Ben, doesnt that tell you the exact type of player that would fit best next to him? And Monroe is the exact opposite of that type of player.

Its hard to think of another big in the league today that fits the Sheed mold, of being able to shoot 3s and great defender. I think Josh Smith may be the closest. Can anyone think of anyone else?

LaMarcus Aldridge.

He doesn't know how to shoot 3's, but he can still consistently knock down the 17ft jumpshot, plus has an elite post up game.

Also a good defender.

He's the closest thing to Sheed.

What a perfect fit he would be...I would give up anyone on our team outside of Dre for him(partially because well...that would defeat the purpose of having a great frontcourt and someone to pair him with)in a heartbeat without thinking twice. I don't see the Blazers dealing him, but yeah...Aldridge/Dre would be amazing. David Lee is another guy who would fit well with Drummond imo. He plays like Monroe, only better in every facet of the game, and while he isn't a great defender he's no slouch. I am not trying to undermine Moose here, because he's still young while David Lee has had time to grow as a player, I am merely stating facts as of the present.

I hope no one expected us to win this game. The Knicks have handed this team some of the worst losses they've had in the past 2 seasons. It's the same pattern every time too. Carmelo absolutely owns Tayshaun, maybe even more than Lebron does sometimes. Just be glad it wasn't by 30 plus like at this time last year.

When Monroe and Drummond play together, they look great. That pairing is the least of our concerns. The pairing that we should worry about our Maxiel/Monroe and Knight/Singler. Monroe/Drummond is actually our most winning duo.

Monroe has struggled this season because he is playing more from the high post, when he's playing in the high post- everyone knows he's there to set up his man because he doesn't have a reliable jumper. He's much better when he doesn't handle the ball as much. However, because of our atrocious guard play, we have to use Monroe as a passer, far more than we should.

The entire team would benefit with better guard production. Our starters just cant set up anybody else. Knight was a better PG to start the season but then he started to score and now he looks too scared to do anything. And Singler is a great 7th man but he doesnt have the offensive arsenal to be a starting SG. On the bench- Bynum and Stuckey take all the FGA for themselves. The only reason we won games to end DEC/start January was because of the bench play, with the return of Stuckey- the bench has been mediocre because the aforementioned guys are so ball dominant.

Wonder what Jerebko has to do to get back in the rotation? If he can't get in in a blowout loss, in Europe, with Daye and CV doing nothing that game, and Slava got in during garbage time... hard to imagine a situation where he gets minutes.

On another note, if it hadn't been mentioned yet, I thought it was interesting that was our first double digit loss in exactly one month.

I feel like our guards struggle with entry passes into the post and inbounds plays more than any other team I've ever watched.
