The Lakers are screwed. Howard is going to talk. Gasol will be miserable and demand a trade this offseason, and Nash won't want to stick around to play with Kobe and Antawn Jamison.

Let all cross our fingers and hope it happens.

Skiles is out in Milwaukee. If he's interested, should the Dubs bring him in as an assistant if Malone ends up leaving during the offseason, or can Pete Myers & Co. hold down the fort?

Didn't he have friction with Bogut? I respect his coaching ability, but Skiles is a big and caustic personality. If chemistry is part of what is making this team go, adding a Skiles type is probably not a good idea.

Skiles should go assist Pop or he should take a college job and be happy. NBA player personalities and GM/owner politics don't seem to work very well for him. Despite his knowledge, he keeps wearing out his welcome before accomplishing much.

Any coach that walks away in the middle of the season shouldn't be trusted.

Then again, maybe he's best suited for a college job, like Sleepy said. 35 games, you can yell your ass off, and have complete dictatorial control.

If Skiles can recruit, I think he can be a very good college coach.

MKG defends better, doesn't need to score to have a big impact, and can slash to the hoop.
Barnes can shoot, is a better scorer, and has a much higher potential to be a #1 guy.

Maybe both teams will realize this at some point and make a deal.

Yeah, I'd make that trade, just for fit. Think they're both going to be good. And Barnes is a home-town dude in North Carolina. Maybe give them both a couple of years to hone their chops, then when the rookie contract is up (and we know better how good Barnes is going to be)...

I think Barnes is better fit for the Warriors because of his outside shot, that MKG may never have. Barnes helps the Warriors stretch the floor.

Skiles = Avery. former point guard who can't let go and is too big a control freak to compete at the highest level. no thanks, keep him away from here. nightmare scenario is him ever somehow ending up HC here.

Lakers are 5 games back of the 8th playoff seed...and only 4 games above last place in the West. :)

Remind me again why they should have two players starting in the all-star game? If the coaches put Nash in too and they get three all-stars with a sub-500 record I'll be pissed.

It's not just the Warriors. ORL just beat LAC in Staples.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

If anyone has any illusions about Miami not being the best team in the league, barring injuries, they're completely deluded. They just don't give a **** since they'll coast to top seed in the east.

LeBron/Kyrie would be lethal -- what Lebron/Wade could have been if Wade were younger. Toss in Varejao and the fat dude they drafted who's name I can't remember, and that's probably a 2-3 championship team.

If they were able to add one more star Cleveland would have a chance. If only Dan Gilbert didn't act like such a jackass and the fans didn't freak out.

Noel is going to have to break both legs to escape the #1 spot on my draft board.

Whoever lands the #1 pick can have anything they want not named Curry, if I had my way.
