The key matchup is both guard positions IMO.

A day to rest between games.... no excuses now.

Let's abuse the post with Lopez/Blatche tonight, eh?

Why not start Blatche at PF? Would that just take away all offense from the bench?

Blatche is the only big man quick enough to get back on defense and help prevent easy buckets. Lopez was great against Atlanta when he actually got the ball, so I'm not knocking him, but a big reason why they were able to constantly attack was because he was always the last one back.

I think we pound the ball into the post a lot more this game, because we got back into the game when Lopez started getting more touches and slowing the game down. And not just Lopez, use D-Will and JJ in the post a lot more. If they're going to run that 2 PG lineup, destroy them inside.

The key match up is the nets vs. bad, horrible, lazy shots.

if we take long jumpers with making a pass on offense it is going to be the same story all over again. we need to execute on offense and make them take the ball out of the basket. I think we need to see mirza at the 4 with the starters alot. last game they just ignored reggie evans and it killed us.

Terrified about this game. I can see Josh Smith going HAM and i think atlanta's win on Wed is going to spark a long winning streak for them.

I'm really starting to dislike Reggie starting at PF. He can barely make a layup and only do so when not contested. Against better teams he really hurts us especially since with Bogans/Wallace there's another player in our starting lineup that isn't that great offensivly . ( better than Reggie of course but still ) . It's like we're playing 3.5 vs 5 on offense at the start of games/halfes.

For a great rebounder that Reggie is, he has bad hands when it comes to recieving a pass. lol

We need to abuse them in the post with Lopez. He was scoring well when we got him the ball in the post last game. I agree that Blatche should start over Evans as well. I like Evans and his hustle but he has 0 offensive game.. Also please noooo Stackhouse.

And if John Jenkins goes off for 30 points, i blame you Paradise. lol

Nets win by 10.

Winning this game will have a lot to do with limiting the Hawks on the break. Granted, a lot has to do with executing on offense and not giving them a chance off to run off misses.

Maybe Wallace starting is a good start?

Don't remove Blatche from the bench, just don't start Evans.

Agreed either Hump or Mirza are the ones to start. I'd probably give Mirza a look insteand of Hump for a change. Evans can still come in off the bench with his energy and rebounding.

I don't think Blatche and Lopez fit all that well next to each other both tend to dominate the ball quite a bit. I don't like to have two bigs on the court that do that for an extended period of time.

Do we really need to make changes to the starting lineup after losing 1 game in the last 19 days?

It has nothing to do with the loss. You should never stop trying to improve your team, and Evans and Hump were both more effective in their old roles of coming off the bench/starting, respectively.

Even when we won games the way we started off games/halfes with Evans in the starting lineup just didn't feel right. They quite a few times had trouble scoring because Reggie didn't need anyone guarding him on offense and Wallace/Bogans was allways dared to take the long-shot

i dont think its reactionary to the loss. Evans isnt a starter. he is a bench player. he is great in that role. he shouldnt be starting on a playoff team.
