Can this team win it all?

Post#1 » by nyk2423 » Sun Jan 13, 2013 3:31 am

I'm in a 10 team league and the cats are fgm fg% ftm fta ft% 3ptm 3pt% pts oreb dreb reb ast stl blk to. I'm currently in 2nd place and my team looks like this....

PG.Jennings
PG.Dragic
SG.Jr Smith
SG.Batum
SF.Melo
SF.Josh Smith
PF.Noah
PF.Duncan
C.Monroe
Util.Tyson
Teague
Ersan
K.Leonard
Calderon
Sessions

Are there any players u think i should be looking to trade away or trade for? I have been trying to mainly trade away Calderon, Tyson, and Duncan. People in my pressure don't really like Leonard so he had no value, even though i think he can end up being a solid fantasy player by the end of the yr. I want to trade away 2 players for one solid SG and pick up Bynum, going he returns mid to late February. Again any help and opinions would be appreciated!

Your leage cats are pretty strange. It seems like it favors bigs, Dwight Howard would help you in blk fgm fg% oreb dreb reb ft at and ftm. While only hurting you in ft% and to. It seems like a good idea to try and acquire more rebounding bigs

Yeh we do favor bigs, but I'm currently 1st in ftm dreb reb ast pts ast stl blk 2nd in fgm fta oreb 3rd 3ptm. So my teen is really solid but i feel Calderon is going to stay going down and Duncan too so i want to trade them away for a legit rebounding SG,can u think of somebody? Maybe Harden or Paul George? Or should i look to trade Tyson and Calderon for Evan Turner and pick up a solid rebounder until it's time to pick up Bynum? Also should i look to trade sees high too or hold onto him?

There's this website Apathy recommends, I think it's basketballmonster. You can edit the league settings and it will give you ranks for the players based on your league settings. Maybe you can use this to find some players where there is a large disparity between your actual leage ranks and their standard ranks.

Not based on any stats, the players on your team I don't think you can count on for end of the year play off production-

PF.Duncan
Teague

These players are kinda a toss up. They may actually have strong usage in the final weeks due to other players resting or tanking.
Ersan
K.Leonard
Calderon
Sessions

Bump..... And just pulled off a trade. I gave up Tyson and Calderon for Al Jefferson. So now my team looks like this....

PG.Jennings
PG.Dragic
SG.Jr Smith
SG.Batum
SF.Melo
SF.Josh Smith
PF.Noah
PF.Duncan
C.Monroe
Util.Al Jeff
Teague
Sessions
Ersan
K.Leonard
Beasley

the person i picked up was Beasley because i am hoping Jr does something with the coaching change. Also i have been thinking about trying to trade Duncan, do u think that is a good idea? I'm thinking for the playoffs because i don't want him sitting out random games. So i am thinking about offering Duncan for Paul George our should i try to go with depth and try to do a Duncan,Dragic,Beasley, and Ersan for Lillard, Thad, Beal, and Nikola (Magic)

Beasley sucks, always has and always will, coach won't change that.

Duncan is worth shopping but frankly I'm not necessarily buying a bunch of games sat out at the end of the season. This is a new and improved Duncan, and Pop did get fined 250k... Yes, obv you wanna shop him, but I wouldn't give up more of a round of value to move him. He's been absurdly good. Def would take DUncan over George.

But check playoff schedules.

Aight thanks and yeh I've been thinking about doing Beasley but i just don't know fire who. I Gabe.Bledsoe, Reggie Evans, Speights, Mo Williams, JRich, and players asking those lines available in the FA list. And Duncan has 3 games in my semis and 4 in the finals while Paul George has 4 in the semis and 3 and in the finals. Do you think i should just keep him? Because ppl in my league(friends) don't really want him because of the random DNP during playoff time, but to tell u the truth i really don't but it either because they will also be in the hunt for home court advantage too but i feel like i can get a real good SG and a solid PF with Duncan alone. These are the teams that play 4 games in both my semis and finals week.... Atlanta, Boston, Memphis, Minnesota, New York, Orlando, Utah, Washington. My main targets are Horford, Rondo, Marc Gasol, Nikola(Magic), Jameer, Afflalo, Favors, Wall, Beal

No idea who Gabe is. Grab Bledsoe for now since Paul is out.

Def target Favors and Millsap. Gasol. Horford.

Why do you want to trade Chandler?

Well i really didn't want to trade Chandler but i was able to trade him and Calderon for Al Jefferson. So now i feel i have am overload of bigs with Noah, Duncan, Al Jeff, and Monroe. I'm looking to trade Dragic because he only has 3 Ganges in both the semis and finals weeks

It's too early to be making wholesale changes to your team IMo.

Your team is good, wait until the deadline
