Kobe's horrible shooting the past few games...

Post#5 » by GeneralNash » Sun Jan 20, 2013 8:52 pm

You know the more I watch these games the more I see that Kobe is making the game more difficult for himself.

On one hand, I think the coach needs to recognize that Kobe needs more rest on the defensive end. That means not making him guard their quickest PG every game. Spo doesn't even make Lebron guard their best offensive player every game, and he's in his prime. It's just not going to work long term. It is going to hurt the offense and now we are starting to see how bad this team is with Kobe being worn out.

Going to also have to put the blame on Kobe. 10-32 shooting isn't good basketball. Now I am not arguing with the quantity of shots, but he isn't making the game easier on himself. He is falling in love with these long distance shots. He needs to be attacking the basket and getting those close range, high percentage shots. He should of done that early to get him going, then go ahead and shoot outside.

Jordan made the game easy for himself. He used his skills and footwork to get those easy mid-range shots. Kobe has all the moves but he isn't putting himself at the spots to get successful. He is just settling for the tough ones and playing down right stupid basketball. Lakers took one big step backwards.

Blame this slide on World Peace. He jinxed us after having that 5 game winning streak and him saying he can win every single game the rest of the way >:(

how does someone who is tired shoot 57 times in two games?

to make matters worse, during this same time he's had 6 assists versus 12 TO's. that is terrible, especially considering that in these same two games, everyone besides kobe is shooting a combined 49.5%, which not even the league's best heat shoot (48.8%).

kobe's last two games have been without a doubt some of the most ineffective selfish games a star player can possibly put up back to back.

even so, its all about the lack of defense as a team.

This team **** sucks. Nash can't guard, Kobe has to do everything for everybody. MWP is MWP and Dwight is just half assing everything now. Dantoni is the biggest douche ever.

I really don't know what we are going to do from here. We can't trade, we can't draft, nobody in their right mind wants us to get back to normal by helping us out with a trade. This is a whole entire **** job from Mitch, Jerry and Jim.

Dead Legs

His shots were short tonight. Almost all of them were from the perimeter. Why were his shots short? Tired legs. Why were his legs tired? Chasing point guards.

He could always just shoot less if he is tired. We have Nash running the offense whats there to worry about? Our defense just sucks, plain and simple. MDA is quite possibly the worst hiring there is, dude's offense is the direct opposite of what this team should be running. Said it a million times, if we're firing MB, the replacement better be PJ or Sloan or someone much better. Not MDA who has an even worse resume than MB and is a career loser, look at NY right now without him.

Houston is trying to get randolph from memphis... we can be the facilitators.

Lakers out: Gasol, morris, meeks, Sacre, and blake
Lakers in: Bayless, D. Motiejunas, Delfino, Cole Aldrich(exp), Royce White, first round picks, and Tony Allen
We send out 26 million in salary, take back 14.8 million, acquire young players, get a pick, and solidy our bench.

Memphis out: Randolph, Bayless, and Tony Allen
Memphis in: Gasol, morris, meeks, first round pick, and blake
They get the gasol brothers together, and a good 3 pt shooter in meeks.

Houston out: Cole Aldrich, Royce white, Bayless, D. Motiejunas, Delfino, and 2 first round picks.
Houston in: Randolph and Sacre

I still think our team has a lot of talent, our coaches just doesn't know how to utilize them. We are what, 4-1 with Bickerstaff? We played soo much better with Bickerstaff just letting them play instead of running this dumb 7 seconds ****

What I don't get is why didn't this team stay the course for the past 3 games....just because they lose to Miami, they go back to being this team again?

The course in the games before this was get Dwight going early. Kobe made it a point to do that and the team was very successful. This game, the team went away from that big time. Not getting Dwight involved...gets Dwight frustrated.

And I didn't like Pau starting over Clark either. Having Clark, Kobe, and Dwight really sets the tone on the defensive end early....and for offensive rebounds.

I like this deal. I also like how White goes to the Lakers so Metta can say he is not the craziest guy on the team anymore.
