He would also get us back on the treadmill track and use a ton of salary room. Bosh is not a max player.

Gortat seems like he wants out and they may be looking deal Dudley. Dudley would help fix our lack of outside shooting and he is locked up for a few years on a cheap contract. Whereas Gortat would give us a rebounding big, shot blocker and a decent pick and roll big man.
Diop and Henderson for Gortat and Dudley?
Gordon and Portland pick for Gortat and Dudley?
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=be7tuss
gortat + dudley for diop + Hendo + Biyombo + Port pick
id do that is 2 seconds for bobcats, but not sure why Suns do this deal. get rid of two of their 3 good players? they are way under the cap already.
I think Gortat and Dudley would be a help here, but their addition would add a minimal overall impact. I think Gortat would be most helpful, but why not try to deal Haywood instead of Biz? Also the Portland pick added to the deal as described is too much for this group. Still, remove the pick and I'd be open to considering it.
No to dealing the moon for Chris Bosh. I prefer trying to deal for Jason Thompson or JJ Hickson. Either would be a quality big man for this team for years to come. Dealing for Rudy Gay and adding him to the mix worth one of those bigs would help us take a big jump forward. If both of those cost us Biz, Hendo, a pick and MKG, I'd be OK. I know, everyone want MKG to be part of the solution here. But the coaches are playing Taylor ahead of hyphen for a reason. I really don't think they would include him, but it would not shock me if he's an essential part of a big trade.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I think all of this talk about us being interested in Gay is a lie coming from Memphis. But if it is true, then it's clear Cho doesn't have nearly as much control as we thought.
Humble yourself.

Re: The Trade Thread
If we're not trading for a player that has potentially a all-star impact then we should stay put. It's that simple. We don't need no Marcin Gortat's or Jason Thompson's unless they come at a discount. We gathered all of these picks as assets. Therefore we should use them to our advantage to lure in some household names that are on the outs with their current teams. We could save the picks and let our expirings walk but I don't think that would be smart since we're not exactly a destination for free-agents.

Acquiring talent in the NBA is a gamble and Cho can only play the hands that's dealt to him. We got expiring contracts and draft picks to use as assets. We can't continue to lose forever. If we had received the #1 pick and drafted Anthony Davis I can almost guarantee you that we wouldn't still be in development mode. We would be trying to win. Rudy Gay is overpaid but the core of our roster after this season is underpaid. It would be a different story if we had players making Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol money but we don't. Our cap space wouldn't feel the affect of a bloated Gay contract until the same year he expires and Kemba would be asking for a raise.

Why are you assuming I don't want the team to get better? I don't want to trade for an inefficient black hole with a horrible contract, sure, but I do hope we sign Paul Millsap this summer.
Humble yourself.

I know we all want the team to get better but we might share disagreement in how to go about it. I find more negatives in trying to sign Paul Milsap this offseason than trying trade for Rudy Gay before the trade deadline. The belief that Milsap would want to waste the prime of his career on a rebuilding team like the Bobcats is a pipe dream and would be our first mishap. There's almost no way that Milsap would sign with us the way we are currently structured. Even if we could sign Milsap I would be wary of giving a middling 28 year old a 5-year contract that' would be in the excess of over $10 million at the back end of his decline when he's probably best suited to be a 3rd or 4th option on a contender in his heyday. The benefit of trading for Rudy Gay is that he's only owed another two and a half years so we'd theoretically be borrowing him during his prime years to help make us a contender in the weak East while watching his bloated contract expire the same time that we'd be thinking about signing extensions to our young core. The last thing our rebuilding team need is buyer's remorse on signing a free agent to a long term deal or having too much cap space without a plan.

UTA/CHA/SAC
Utah out: Millsap
Utah in: Tyreke Evans and CHA 1st round pick via POR
CHA out: MKG and 1st round pick via POR
CHA in: DeMarcus Cousins
SAC out: DeMarcus Cousins and Tyreke Evans
SAC in: MKG and Paul Millsapf
Utah gets a pick that could get them a player like Archie Goodwin (great SG but has passing skills of a PG, maybe our PGOTF) and Evans who could be our temp PG.
CHA do it because it's DeMarcus Cousins.
SAC does it because its the best value for Cousins.

Re: UTA/CHA/SAC
Not a bad idea if Sacramento is willing to part with DMC (in which I doubt) and I say that as a transplanted Bobcats fan due to MKG's presence.
I'm guessing Utah would use Tyreke Evans as their future at PG.
The Kings get a potential star with a winning attitude in MKG but I doubt that they would want to trade DMC for that package considering that Milsap probably wouldn't sign on for the long term.
This is likely to and should be merged with "The Trade Thread".

Correct but unfortunately you failed to put your answer in the form of a question.
So you go home empty handed.

Re: The Trade Thread
Lots of you just forgot that MKG is only 19 years old... Even if he isn't the player we have been waiting for with a #2 pick. But he is way far from his ceiling and we're still in the "building mode". Sending him away before 1 or 2 season doesn't make sense...
At the moment, Kemba is the face of the Bobcats, but MKG got a lot of fans, and I sure he could (and will) become the second face of the franchise in about 2 years.
Remember how Kemba has evolved from last year... And don't forget that MKG missed the summer league too just has Kemba did last year because of the LockOut.
We need to keep MKG.

We lose MKG in that deal but we gain Demarcus Cousins. I think most of us would get over it.

Count me as a big no on that one.

Not when Cousins continues to rack up techs, suspensions, and myriad difficulties.

I'd rather MKG and the Portland 1st.

ask me again in a few weeks if MKG continues his recent trend of 4 points and 3 rebounds a game.

I like DMC but not at the expense of MKG or Kemba. Anyone else is in play.

i refuse to give up on MKG half way though his first season for anyone in this league not named LBJ or durant. he is untouchable and needs to stay that way.

Brandan Wright's fell out of Dallas' rotation since his injury. He's cheap, still pretty young and would be our best post player. Dallas wants another point guard, so perhaps something centered around Sessions, but then we would need something else in return.

Wright's garbage. Some nights he's decent, other nights he's essentially Warrick without the jump shot.
