Larry Drew Job Watch
With the season (possible career) ending injury to the homeboy Lou will and the recent injury to Devin, we don't have any depth at the Guard position. Not looking good for my man L.Drew. I don't think he makes it past the all star break. What do you think?

What difference would it make who coaches? Injuries are going to happen....there is no Magical potion to stop them and Phil Jackson himself coming here is not going to make that much of a difference. Unless your plan is to make him a scapegoat?
This team has overachieved early and now that they're struggling people want to fire the coach...the past 3 games they have played hard and inspired and that's what I look for but the injury bug has made is cameo and it's hampering us. I see a good vibe on the team right now.....look beyond the last 2 losses.

I just don't see much benefit in firing Drew during the season, and it might serve to discourage potential Head Coaching hires in the future.
Let's face it, most high-profile coaches aren't exactly flocking to work here anyway; if we were to present them with an incomplete roster, an almost non-existent fanbase, unsteady ownership, and a GM who fires the most successful HC the franchise has had this century just weeks after winning Coach of the Month, we could kiss any top coaching applicants goodbye.
L Drew largely over achieved in the early parts of the season with an extremely flawed roster (no SF, no starting Center, defensively-deficient SGs). The team has fallen back to earth, but there were never any realistic championship expectations this season. The injury situation tempers expectations even more.

...we are 2 1/2 games out of third in the East. We are having a tough stretch. And I still think we are better than the 3 teams ahead of us. Lets get off the ledge.
I don't even like Larry Drew but would be disgraceful to fire him.

I don't think the Hawks biggest problems have anything to do with coaching. IMO L. Drew has done a very good job. The Hawks are probably worse than their record indicates, Drew has gotten the best out of most players and his system is not so bad.
GO HAWKS.

I'm not the biggest fan of Larry Drew but I think he does a better job than Woodson. I don't think he deserves to get fired. I think he makes the best of the team that we have. He draws up great plays out of a time out. He changes up the line up when needed. But I don't think he deserves to get his contract renewed at the end of the season.
I would love to see one of the Van Gundys or Avery Johnson coach the Hawks next year.

I think he should to, and again, I REALLY dislike the guy as the coach. But he has earned an extension.
