Knight did not play bad last night against a great perimeter defense. But yeah, some of you just need to complain about something.

Good first post and welcome. I was just about to comment on that power ranking as there are more fun facts in the writers comments:

Might Lawrence Frank be coming around on the Andre Drummond-Greg Monroe combination? They've played 10 minutes together in each of the Pistons' last two games, just the second time they've played double-digit minutes together in two straight games all season. Detroit outscored Boston 27-18 in their 10 minutes together on Sunday and has the No. 7 defense in January.

But I don't think the Pistons are trying to mortage their future just to be an 8th seed that gets swept in the 1st round. In other words, Bynum has no longterm future here, and even if he were starting, we would be a 7th/8th seed at best. So there's not a lot to gain by benching your young PG who you are trying to develop for the longterm.

I like Bynum a lot this year though and his chemistry with Drummond. They do need to find a way to get those 2 more min together.

Knight is not the only player we're trying to develop and by starting a complete fail PG you're mortaging this team's future. If we had a good PG this team could be so good :(

True, but Knight is still one of the main players they are trying to develop. If they start Monroe/Drummond with Bynum at PG and bench Knight, sure Monroe/Drummond would probably get a lot easier baskets and maybe develop faster, but it would come at the expense of retarding Knights development. So is that really a positive tradeoff?

I don't think you understand what growing pains means. He's struggling because he's a young inexp PG trying to learn how to play the position. I bet if you saw a baby trying to learn how to walk and falling over every step, you would call him a miserable failure, lol.

Yeah I loved how Frank left Monroe and Drummond out there even though Boston went small. Drummond needs to start so they can continue to develop chemistry and will be ready to go going into next season.

Going big > Small Ball against everyone in the league. Should have made Melo guard Moose.

Yeah I guess I proved you wrong too many times for you to continue to be civilized and nice so you had to throw some punches.

I don't think you understand that a player doesn't necessary need to start to learn the basics of the game. Knight is hurting the team as a whole because he IS a Pathetic player right now and does not even belong in this league, let alone start for a team who could be in the playoffs if they had someone more prepared, starting for them.

Bring the kid off the bench and teach him how to play and let him learn the very basics of the game at his own pace without destroy the team as much.

Is that too complicated of a concept for you to understand or are you following me here bro?
