Poll: Packers pick at #26

The Packers have a need along the offensive line, defensive line, running back, linebacker, wide receiver and potentially tight end. Who would you pick if you were Ted at #26? (Choose 2)

I just went with guys who are likely to be available. Womack, Fisher aren't likely to be available. Neither are the elite pass-rushers or D-lineman like Star or Richardson.

I agree that if we have multiple of those guys available, or guys Ted likes, we should attempt to trade back into the early 2nd - perhaps for a team like the Chiefs or Bills who might be looking to get a QB.

BF1&2, how would he adjust to a move to guard? It sounds like he could be utterly dominant there.

The good news is the Packers should have a much better idea of Sherrod's status by the draft....at this point wouldn't be happy with anyone on that list.

Fluker really improved down the stretch and did a very admirable job on the great Jarvis Jones in the SEC Championship.

I would like to think he could slide in and play guard, but Jeff told me he sees D.J as "strictly" a RT prospect. They don't come any more dominant against the run and the guy is a pancake machine.

Seems like there are a lot of solid DL and OL. I'd be happy with any of them, right now. Id be a bit disappointed in a RB, but it would be intriguing.

Also, FWIW, I would MUCH rather go Sharrif Floyd than Sylvester Williams. Even have Kawann Short a considerable amount ahead of him. I can't shake my memory of his game against Louisville where Mario Benevides totally erased him.

Hard to say,

He's so tall, you worry about leverage when he's going against a guy who's 3 inches shorter and 50lbs heavier than the guys he went up against in College. His issues with moving his feet might not be any better at Guard. I don't know if he's strong enough to just shove NFL DTs and prevent them from getting to the QB. No matter what position he plays he's gonna need to learn to use his feet.

I wouldn't say he did a great job. He gave up a hit and a hurry the first two passes of the game. He had no chance in a 3pt stance, so they had to put him in a 2pt even though the rest of the line was in 3pt stances. You can't play RT in the NFL out of a 2pt stance every time you play a good DE.

Jones was beating him to the corner pretty regularly, when Alabama was still passing, once they started pounding the football down Georgia's throat Jones didn't have a chance when Fluker ended up on him.

I agree, Floyd is gonna be a player. Think he's gonna be this year's Fletcher Cox and go Top-20

Fluker is a beast, he has an NFL body and skill set right now. I really, really like Jones, but have heard that he is not "mean" enough. Call it silly, but we already have way too many soft guys on this team. I do not want to spend a high pick on someone who does not like to hurt.

The pick needs to be either defensive, or for our O line. Again I would highly prefer someone with anger problems who wants to put the opposing guy across from them on a medical cart. This team needs an edge and some physicality, it needs to start right now with this draft.

I prefer we go OL, DL or LB. I hope we pick two players at each of those positions in this draft. I'm all about BPA, so if they aren't there to take, they aren't there to take... but I we desperately need improvement in those positions.

Fluker sounds like he might be worth taking a chance on. Sounds like he is basically a lock to be a dominant run blocker and if he ever gets it figured out in the passing game he could be one of, if not the best RT in the NFL. If Bulaga is as good of a guard prospect as he was hyped up to be when we drafted him, then this could really make a huge difference on our offensive line.

Hope Sherrod comes back healthy and beats out Newhouse:

Sherrod-Bulaga-EDS-Sitton-Fluker could be a very solid line and we'd actually have depth for once.

I think you need to add "Any guy that can stay healthy" as a voting option.

Seriously. Our last 3 #1's all ended the year on IR thanks to knee injuries.

If Bulaga, Sherrod, and Perry all come back and become quality starters, I guess the way I see it is there isn't a lot of "need" for this team.

What we "need" is difference makers at literally any position.

There are a bunch of those on defense at the top of the draft - but we'd have to move up to make that happen.

As it stands right, I'd vote for trade up or trade down if that's the lineup we're choosing from
